People Magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful’ person

It sure is Lupita Nyong'o's year to shine!
The first-time Oscar winner was crowned as this year's "Most Beautiful" by People magazine.
The mag announced who was awarded their prestigious honor Wednesday morning.
"It was exciting and just a major, major compliment," Nyong'o said of gracing the cover. "I was happy for all the girls who would see me on (it) and feel a little more seen."
The 31-year-old actress has certainly proved this past year that she is beautiful both inside and out.
Nyong'o received a ton of attention for her head-turning red carpet fashion and her incredibly moving speech after taking home the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "12 Years a Slave."
The star, who was born in Mexico and brought up in Kenya, told People her early views of beauty were swayed by what she saw on television.
"Light skin and long, flowing, straight hair," she said. "Subconsciously you start to appreciate those things more than what you possess."
Nyong'o sweetly said her mother Dorothy "always said I was beautiful, and I finally believed her at some point."
What is the best beauty compliment the stunning starlet has ever received?
"When I have been called beautiful with not one drop of makeup on," she told the mag,

Why do black broads seem to think a #2 buzz cut is hot?

Why would any guy think that is attractive? Her head would be like rubbing a tennis ball.

Take away the earrings and I'd probably think s/he played for the Bucks...

It's not like these folks are any authority on what makes a woman "beautiful".

pluses: flawless skin, extremely beautiful smile, nice eyebrows, nice nose

Minuses: flat chest, long chin, red eyes, arms more muscular than mine, no curves, no ass, no breasts, boyish hair. Although I think African women (pure Africans not Afro Americans) can't grow their hair without looking like this [Image: winfrey6f-1-web-e13758760528321.jpg]

We all know this is something about Dark is Beautiful or some liberal crap like this. Since Playboy is lost too, looks like the only authority left to judge beauty without using Western standards and politically correct filter is Victoria's Secret.

Because it is " hard "'to grow their hair , so they settle . Black chicks love her and now here is the proof to continue to celebrate . To me , cute , but bony . How was her performance in 12 Years A Slave ?

Guess I'm an outlier here, I find the chick to be gorgeous. She's pretty enough to pull off a short hairdo, which puts her in a rare breed of women.

If she grew her hair out, I'd let her use my tongue for toilet paper.

I agree with you that she has a beautiful face, and a beautiful face does get me. And at least she's slender.

Calling her the most beautiful woman in the world is a bit ridiculous though. That's a damnnnnnnnnn tall order and you'd need a lot to back it.

Then again, I stopped taking People Magazine seriously on this shit when I was about 14 years old. These folks have been full of shit for as long as I knew the difference.

Guys look. First, she is beautiful. Great bone structure and thin. I would definitely deposit some vanilla in that chocolate pudding. But secondly, People Magazine is like Mad Magazine. I mean if Mad Magazine had a picture of a turtle and said it was the president, you wouldn't literally believe that to be true would you? People is the same shit. It's just industry people taking turns being most beautiful. People does not take a statistically valid sample of women and then determine who is the most beautiful. They take the current "it" girl and plaster her on the front page. They need to move copy. Who's going to do that, the girl who won an Oscar for depicting a slave, or beautiful Amy McVirgin from Podunk, Nebraska?

I'm not into black girls....
with that said she's decent looking.
Compared to the black girls i grew up around she at least has a smile on her face, she speaks proper english (probably speaks other languages too) and has a very nice body.
I would never date/fuck her but if she were on my arm to a function i wouldn't be ashamed.

All these trashy magazines just try to confuse your dick. It wont be too long before they try to make Lena dunham a "sex symbol"

It's a shame she doesn't have more hair, beautiful would apply if she did. Still though, WB.

Yeah, depending on the region and person it can be very hard for African women to grow their hair out, but they can get beautiful volume if they do it right...and if that fails that's what extensions and braids are for. However, braids and weaves can hurt when they're put in, and they aren't inexpensive, so many go for the buzz cut because it's 'easier' (along with the added rationalization of 'rejecting unrealistic beauty standards'). It's too bad because if Lupita had longer hair she'd be an absolute stunner.

Anyway, IMO she's attractive and a gifted actress, she did well in 12 Years I thought...but People Magazine isn't worth taking seriously. She is beautiful, but almost any of the women in the black hotness thread are more so.
