Growing up, we didn't have cable tv, so whenever we visited grandma, it was great to catch this show:
edit; Always had a kid crush on Ellen.
Just remembered watching MST3K as a kid, when it went to late night local programming:

Bicycle Crashes:
Ride your bike down a hill, crash into bush, catapult yourself over bush onto grass, roll and laugh.
Bazookas:
Go to pharmacy and get sulfur/saltpeter. Make gunpowder. Put it in small tube, crimp ends (with firecracker fuse) put in large piece of steel conduit, light and watch your missile fly across the neighborhood (off in distance: "CRACK")
Enemy attacks:
build trap in forest for hated rival, complete with covered pit. Get 5-10 other kids to spring it. Get beat up.
Electronics
Didn't exist! Tubes!

I remember when I was about 11 or 12 years old riding my banana bike (or some close modified variation of such) down a hill no hands and over the railway crossing. I know that you all know what is going to happen next.
Anyhow, I crashed pretty good and at a pretty fast speed when I went over the railway tracks with no hands. I did NOT exactly laugh at the time of the accident or any time soon thereafter, even though the incident seems kind of funny now, due to the fact that is seems so dumb.
I remember getting a lot of scuffs from the crash, but NO major injuries, such as to my brain (not that I know about). I don't ever recall seeing anybody using bicycle helmets on any regular basis until far into my 20s (and that would have been late 80s or maybe even into the 90s).
That one Macintosh computer per classroom in the early 90s back when teachers didn't know how computers worked and thought everything was educational:

There's too much to list so I'll stick with the media stuff.
It was the first 18 I ever watched and, of course, I was nowhere near 18 at the time. It's still my favourite film to this day.
The story arcs in this show were ridiculously long, I think about 12 parts in one case. But I still loved watching it.
This one holds a special place on account of the voices, the narratives and the moral lessons. I could go on for hours about the real-world ethics that were discussed in this show.
Every day after school at 5:30 pm on Cartoon Network. When I was a kid I loathed eating vegetables so when my brother took the tv controller away in this episode and refused to turn it on until my plate was cleared, I folded. Ah, memories.

Stumbling across a cache of Playboy magazines in the woods. That was always cool.
Mine are more relevant to British people:
