How To Keep Your Hair On The Cheap: Hair Loss Prevention Data Sheet

I think we don't still know perfectly the mechanism of hair loss. Theoris I have heard are (maybe do exist even more):

1) the most famous one: DHT especially sensitivity to DHT receptors
2) circulation issues, less nutrients to hair but also the theory of less oxigen to follicles more DHT conversion
3) fungus like Malassezia who cause inflammation and oxidative stress to follicles. Do exist other fungus that can cause hair loss.
4) Oxidative stress, inflammation
5) Nutrients overloads or deficiencies
6) Scalp fibrosis
7) Scalp calcification it damages blood flow.
8) Stress, bad life style and diet. Easy to fix if you want. It can drive to points: 9) 7) 5) 4) 3) 2)
9) Scalp muscles tension that can cause blood flow issues
10) insuline resistance
11) Immune system issues like alopecia areata, or just excessive inflammation that attacks follicles.

For sure I had point 2) 3) 5) 8) probably: 4) and 1) and maybe even more. And all these causes may be linked together.

I believe the first thing to do is taking a lot of blood tests for every nutrients vitamin or mineral to check if there is deficiency or excess. Everything that is not in regular range is linked to hair loss.

In my blood tests I found:

1) high ferritin called also iron overload: high ferritin is strictly linked to oxidative stress, it slowers blood flow (bad for all body), linked to insuline resistance (that can cause hair loss), it is also linked to seborroic dermatitis (can causes hair loss). I fixed it with phlebotmy. Ketokonazolo effect is to subtract iron from Malassezia fungus. For sure having ferritin over 80 won't help for hair, mine was around 500.
2) Copper deficiency, fixed it eating a bunch of liver (that usually nobody eat), othwerwise you can take supplements. Copper metabolism is linked to iron but is not all clear. So could exist a connection between low copper and high iron (this is my thought).
3) Little low white blood cells count seems it was fixed after fixing copper deficiency. Copper is necessary for white blood cells. Copper deficiency can cause low white blood cells = less defense agaist skin fungus bacteria who can damage follicles.
4) My testosterone is around 800-900-1000 is considered high one time was also over 1.000. DHT was in normal range. Anyway I think high T has a bunch of benefits so better higher than low. Do not exist the strict link between hight T and hair loss, only theories.

I'm not really sure those caused me hair loss but for sure they contributed.

Other supplements that can help are:

Fish oil: lowers inflammation, increases blood flow, it is good for overall health and skin. May block DHT..
Vitamin E: increases blood flow, lowers oxidative stress
Vitamin C: overall health, good for skin lowers oxidative stress, helps immune system
Vitamin D: lower inflammation, increases blood flow good for overall health
K2: increases blood flow, combat calcification good for overall health
Vitamin A: I have a lot of studies who suggest to take it, but an access can cause hair loss. The food richest in vitamin A in active for retinol is liver. NOT Fruit and vegetables.
All B vitamins, Biotine especially.

Zink: I have heard it can blood DHT, I have heard also about 50-100 mg daily dosage
Copper: lot studies on hair loss who take it into consideration, fights oxidative stress and grey hair. It is necessary for collagen synthesis. Helps immune system agaist fungus and stuff who can contribuite to hair loss trough follicle inflammation.
Selenium: lot studies on hair loss who take it into consideration
Coenzyme Q10: lowers oxidative stress read some studies who take it into consideration.

Amminoacids that helps hair growth:

L-Cistine
L- Methionine
L-Glutathione
hydrolyzed collagen (it helps with skin too, better scalp skin = better hair)
Citrulline malate / Arginin: increase nitric oxide and blood flow

I have heard about those herbs but never tried them:

Resveratrol: Increases blood flow
Curcumin: can chelates iron (that causes seborroic dermatitis and oxidative stress) and fights oxidative stress and inflammation.

There are a bunch of supplements and substance to use as "cocktail lotion". I have never considered finasteride or oral medications with important side effects for hair loss.

I have read the whole thread nobody talks about cortisone it worked on me
There is also another topic drug that may be better than minoxidil is Latanoprost
Also teofilline is good as topical solution.
My dermatologist put inside also Melatonin.

As for Ketoconazole shampoo I had an uncommon side effects it causes me seborroic dermatitis, no idea why because it should fight Malassezia fungus that causes it... Probably isn't good for me. I would like to try a natural shampoo with caffeine, apple vinegar, rosemary and peppermint oils and stuff like that who helps

Thats really interesting. I tried using Ketoconazole shampoo once a week just as an early hairloss preventative measure but found my scalp having weird scaly skin breakouts. I had no idea why/what it was, and had never had it before, but it went away once I gave up on the shampoo. Googling seborroic dermatitis it does seem to have been that.

Not all drugs have the same effect on everyone. Ketokonazolo effect is to subtract iron from Malassezia fungus cells barrier in order to prevent its proliferation.

Roosh said that he doesn't use any shampoo he washes his hair only with water. I would like to try, owìthwerise only using a natural shampoo with natural oils (peppermint rosemary) caffeine, aloe vera, coconut oil, etc...

Seborroic dermatitis is dangerous for hair since can cause hair loss due to inflammation of follicles and oxidative stress.

If you want preserve hair scalp skin must be always in shape without inflammation.
