Female herd mentality.

Wasn't quite sure which thread to put this in...

I've noticed something interesting, perhaps common to you guys. Women tend to dump their boyfriends in a group. For example, my ex and I had parted ways a few weeks back, her telling me she didn't wanna see me anymore, etc. I had also found out that two of her best friends in her clique had dumped there boyfriends within the same 2 week period. Other friends of mine noticed the same thing, to a certain degree.

Is this a common thing? Are women really "sheep" in this sense? Sorry guys, I'm new to this whole female psychology stuff.

Girls with theire "friends": They discuss every action before doing it... and are incredibly selfish.

Think of it like this, whichever one wanted to split first, if she does alone... is now friendless. Her group's social dynamic is ruined because she is the only single girl.
So she starts planting little seeds of relationship doubt in her friend's minds that grow into thought of breakups.

Then they start doing it back, because they don't want to be the only one to do it and have themselves be the single friend.

Next thing you know, they've convinced eachother of whatever thing it is... and validated each others choices.

Social engineering to better her own position by whichever girl actually wanted to break up first could be what leads to these group split situations... if its a close knit group of girls.

Well my friend for someone that's new you've already learned one of the key lessons!! Women do indeed have a herd mentality. It's part of their built in nature. All throughout history, women have never survived by themselves. Back when they weren't any groceries, you had to hunt for your food, and the women relied on the men of the tribe to do that.

And for a woman to get the best food, she had to attract the best hunter for that. So that's the main reason why they have a herd mentality, and also why they're so competitive with each other. They always want what the most popular girls have, no matter what. Think of it as the UGGS boots virus!! The women in your group were probably going out with safe good guy boyfriend.

As soon as the first one dropped hers (she was probably the leader), they all went for it. Soon you'll see them all have new boyfriends consecutively or go out clubbing like crazy and grinding and/or hooking up together. The leader will go first (the most popular one) and the other girls will fallow her.

When you see something in a group of women and you're like why is this happening... always think of the UGGS boot virus!! These boots just popped up everywhere at the same time from all the publicity of stars that were wearing them on the cheap.

Wow, you hit the nail on the head. They were all indeed dating that kind of guy, and it was the "leader" of the group to drop her boyfriend first. Glad to see I'm not going nuts with what I'm seeing.

Can't trust a damn single of em, can ya? The first girl had her ex pining over her, even bought her a gift to win back her love.

Thankfully, even I was/am not that foolish. Women seem to be no better than cows in intelligence. Bah, I'm just bitter....Guess thats the price for knowledge.

Most are sheep. You don't see to many who are loners and do their own thing.

The vast majority of females exhibit a herd mentality.

This is explained by the evolutionary history females experienced over the last few million years or so.

Females had to rely on other people (both men and women) for survival and successful reproduction. The last thing they wanted was to become a social outcast.

The ones who are loners are always unstable in the head or trying to hard to be different from everyone.

In psychological terms I believe it's called the in-group bias.
