Has anyone got blue contacts and dyed their hair blonde for Latin America?

So I was just thinking about this, and my blonde/blue eyed friends will have girls THROW themselves at them, especially if they speak a little Spanish.

Anyone ever just cut to the chase and dyed their hair blonde and gotten fake blue contacts? I wonder how much easier a dude with dark hair/eyes would find it.

I have dark, black hair/hazel eyes, and although I have never died my hair blonde, and gotten fake contacts, I know 1 cat who did; all girls called him on his fake blonde hair. I think he should of faked not speaking Spanish, and it would have probably gone better. I did not see him do any better than I did.

So, I think the best thing to do is leave your hair color the way it is and emphasize the way you dress a lot more. Colombian/Brazil girls will ALWAYS go for the guy with a big banner that says "DIESEL" or 'ED HARDY" across his chest regardless if he has green hair and pink skin - they are stupid like that. I always dress GQ with a really nice Giorgio Armani or Hugo Boss suit and NEVER lose. - with my dark hair and tan skin, I don't think a gringo with Cargo shorts, and a T-shirt can beat me in Colombia (maybe Brazil). It's more about your clothes and swagger than actual hair and eyes. Now, if you compare a poorly dressed latino, with a very good looking Euro backpacker, then the Euro backpacker gets attention just based on his presumed "richness".

By the way, take a country like Brazil, where the dudes cannot dress for shit, and Brazilian girls will still opt the blonde guy if he is very good looking.

If you are wondering to do, don't. Brazilian girls don't like much unnatural men. If you are brunette, be one.

Deixa que essa fase é passageira, amanhã será melhor você vai ver a cidade inteira seu samba saber de cor!

Brazilian guys are probably some of the worst dressed that I have seen. They wear t-shirts and dressy sneakers to the bars. That is their typical look and I couldn't understand it.

I then realized that they are paranoid about attracting the attention of robbers and kidnappers. Thus, they are dressing down to avoid attention.

I find Latinos to be brand whores. Probably the worst in the world. Brands are more important than your physical look.

Blonde hair and blue eyes would not make any difference in half of Brazil (the south) where there are many people of German/Polish decent. Perhaps in the north it would be exotic.

I put blonde highlights in my hair for Brazil and I had rock star status in Manaus. I got waaay more attention than my darker-complexion friend. I also have naturally blue eyes.

Yeah I was thinking that too, but then there's the whole "learn Portuguese" problem. [Image: undecided.gif]

Well, Manaus is a different Brazil. Girls are friendly, warm, and welcome everyone who visits - even other latinos. Nobody really makes it that far up in Brazil, so, if you do make it, you are rewarded with nice attention form ladies. Same deal goes for Brasilia, no tourism = more bangs for you.
