Supreme Court of Canada rules on case that saw man poke holes in gf's condoms

Quote:Quote:

The Supreme Court of Canada has dismissed an appeal by a Nova Scotia man who was convicted of sexual assault for poking holes in his girlfriend's condoms.

The case involved Craig Jaret Hutchinson, who was sentenced to 18 months in jail in December 2011, after he admitted damaging his former girlfriend’s condoms in an attempt to impregnate her so that she would not end their relationship.

The Supreme Court ruled that Hutchinson’s actions “vitiated,” or invalidated, the consent she had given to engage in sex with him.

The girlfriend did become pregnant and the relationship ended shortly after. Hutchinson continued to contact his ex-girlfriend over the following weeks through texts and revealed what he had done to her condoms.

She chose to have an abortion, which left her with a uterine infection that was eventually treated with antibiotics.

There's a good video in this link that sees a lawyer discuss the implications of this ruling, including how it could play out in reverse, where a woman would try to play the pregnancy entrapment card.

Interesting. Will the reverse be true for men?

What is the condom breaks, and I only consented to condom sex?

What if I don't use a condom, but did not consent to impregnating her?

What is she told him she was on birth control, and he only consented to sex under those conditions?

The ruling is white knighting, but if it gets flipped to black knighting, I'm all in.

I don't think it will ever be turned against women. The lawmakers and law practicioners care not for fairness; whenever a woman is accused of the same, she will always be found innocent because of "extenuating circumstances" such as: she was depressed, she was abused, she felt abused, the patriarchy made her, hormones made her, she deserves to have a child, etc...

I eagerly await being proven wrong.

Its kind of funny that he wouldn't just go raw dog if that was his goal.

Instead of poking holes just blast inside her like a champ.
