Would it be possible to use 20 stock Russian phrases from a book and have that be enough to seal the deal, given the party atmosphere.

Also, do you think that the skinhead problem will make things difficult for a non white guy or did it seem pretty open?

Why is it necessary to speak russian when most the girls are slutty ass lizards that are high / drunk?!?

I didn't go to Kazantip but I'm in the Ukraine. I met two really cute Ukrainian girls on Saturday night who gave me huge initial vibe. My Ukrainian wingman helped with the introduction and initial convo. He was telling me they liked me. It turns out these girls have ZERO English knowledge and when they figured out I spoke almost no Russian, they left. I'm quite sure if I spoke Russian things would be have different. I've been in similar situations in Peru and Thailand and have scored, that is, getting to bed with a girl who you cannot communicate with using language.

That said, if you approach enough girls you will eventually find some that speak some English. Knowing Russian is not necessary but it seems like it would be hugely helpful.

Those women seemingly have really fun care free personalities but look malnourished and unhealthy. I love the scene but I'd be surrounded by girls I felt indifferent about. The Russian mafia is also a negative strike to the event.

Looks fun though..

Could you get laid in US using only 20 stock English phrases?

aint that a given at any club / bar / event you go to stateside or abroad?

How much success are you getting in Korean clubs (I assume you don't speak Korean yet)?
And I expect Koreans to speak more/better English than Ukrainians. So divide your Korean success by two, and that's what you should expect.

only been to two clubs (1 each weekend my first 2 weeks) and didnt really run any game. Just opened a few sets for some brief basic convo then having them take down my email.

koreans are highly conservative and shy. and for the most part are generally attracted to their own. there is no "gringo advantage here".

havent been to russia or the ukrain yet soo im not sure how conservative, shy, and their like for foreigners is.

There is no "gringo advantage" in Ukraine as well, just being white will not score you any points, and won't make people interested in you.
Being a foreigner is a disadvantage as it limits your ability to communicate, and you have to work against the assumption you're a sex tourist looking for a quick fuck.
In short, it will be likely worse than you have it in Korea.

Hrmm, I'm with Edubote. I was practically looking for airline tickets and then I read this thread, and realized it might not be for me.

Thing is, after a year and a half in South America, including 7 months in Colombia - my Spanish is pretty good, I've been having a pretty good time, got all the flags I wanted and more.. and I just love it here. Based on Roosh's reports I was thinking Poland/Ukraine, and then I saw this festival and thought it would be a great start. But as all (or most anyways) of my "game" (if you want to call it that) is based on talk and humour, I am quite scared of being in a place where practically no one speaks English, except Western Europeans... which don't attract me as much..

So, I went to Kazantip for a few days - note I live in Russia, so it wasn't a huge time/travel investment for me.

In terms of safety and people, I was worried about skinheads and druggies all over the place, but it seems they have a pretty tight operation there - good amount of cops, I never got harassed, and rarely got the mean looks like I often do in Moscow. Much less nudity then advertised.

But in terms of girls, not many spoke English, but enough that my friend visiting got decent reactions from a few of the girls. I speak almost fluent Russian, but it didn't help too much - the ratio was god awful (probably 3 to 1) and many of the girls had boyfriends. Also, these girls are middle to upper class - you won't find many of the poor desperate girls meaning to meet foreigners, since the entry fee and accommodation are quite expensive.

One night I got alot of blow outs, another night I got an Iranian girl to my room but didn't close, and the other night I had alot of near makeouts and got alot of contact info for girls to follow up when I return to Moscow (though I'm almost positive that they'll flake)

Overall, not a complete disappointment - I wasn't expecting a huge sex rave or a good ratio, and the music was really good.

But I'd say for a non-minority American who can either speak Russian or is super-aggressive, it still may be worth a trip. What sets Kazantip apart from Russia or Ukraine normal gaming is that it's an easy place to approach in an environment without insane booming music (which is usually the case in Russian clubs). Anyway, now is closing weekend so it may supposedly be crazier.

Kazantip is a complete BS for getting laid! I have been in the area and spoke with people who went there. You have a better chance picking someone up in a club in your own country!
The ratio is not so good. Many girls came with boyfriends. Many just like to dance and not try to communicate with a foreigner in a language they don't know. Too many foreign guys from Europe. Too many mafia types. Too many druggies!

The pictures you of naked girls dancing is just an advertisement for the place so the organizers can make more money!

So I went to NYC and it sucks! My homies also didn't get laid.No girls were giving as any love, regardless of all the effort we had put in.We knew at least 10 phrases in English each, however the women were simply refusing to switch to Russian.
-Hey,I like you.Говоришь по-русски?
...10 seconds of silence...
(blank stare)(walks away)
It was also full of foreigners, thugs, junkies, corporate drones and it smelled like shit.Women seemed to be with boyfriends, strictly lesbian or only liked to dance and not communicate with a foreigner in a language they don't know.

I had considered going to Kazantip before, but after reading through this thread, it seems like the consensus is it's an overhyped nothing-special type music festival. Although it also appears that not too many people have actually been there in person.

Anyone has any more recent info on it? Anyone thinking of going in 2014?

http://kazantip.com/

It's from 31st July to 14th Aug. Seems like the event will happen just like before, despite the ongoing instability there. I checked the website a few weeks ago and they were saying don't book tickets at this point, now they are openly advertizing it.

P.S. perhaps the title of the thread could be renamed to Kazantip or something similar. This seems to be the main thread on the subject although it's a little hard to find because of the ambiguous title. There is also a short Kazantip thread here http://www.rooshvforum.network/thread-20542.html

Edit: I can speak Russian
