Backpack for traveling

I just picked up an Eagle Creek Gearhauler for a 4 week Europe/SEA trip. I know I'm going to do laundry a few times but it's got a waterproof back so I can set it down and not worry about and stuff seeping into my clothes, plus it's all black and doesn't look too touristy. It is a little more military than I'd like, but I'll take that over blue and red and green backpacker monstrosities. They just wouldn't look right in Business Class [Image: wink.gif]

I upgraded to a Rimowa and a nice duffel bag I got in Tokyo. The Rimowa isn't one of the aluminum ones so it's not too flashy, but it's still a Rimowa. I'm not sure if I should bring it if I go somewhere like Latin America. I keep my clothing in the Rimowa and my electronics in the duffel. I don't want to be looking like some poor backpacker when I show up in a country.

I also have a Rimowa (the salsa air ultralight at 4.2lbs) that can go carry-on for any international and domestic flight. I can take that and a Minaal and travel for months - never checking a bag. I just saw a decent similar bag at costco. Think it was a samsonite.
Here's a review on the minaal - cool guys that started the company too.
