What is your time worth?

What is your time worth?

I have a met a few guys from this forum now. Some with very good Game and some trying to learn and improve themselves. One of the big differences I have noticed between the guys that get results and the ones that are trying to improve theirs is how they treat and manage their time. A lot of guys have no problem going out and burning four hours of their time without having much to show for it. When they go out, they don't treat their time as having any value. They can waste a whole night without even getting a single phone number and be ok with it.

But for the pros, this is almost unacceptable. They value their time and because they do they try to make ever hour count. Until you start placing a high value on your time you will happily waste days and years of it. But time is the most valuable resource you have and once spent you cannot get it back. I won't even waste time going on dates with girls I don't enjoy being with. I won't text them, I won't talk to them, I just won't waste any time with them. Every hour of my time is worth at least $100. If I go out and spend four hours with a girl she had better deliver over $400 worth of enjoyment and this doesn't mean only sex. If I go somewhere I had better be enjoying myself or I will just leave. At any given moment I could be at home working building a better business and putting money into my bank account. Until you start treating your time as valuable you will not only waste a lot of it but the women will happily waste it for you too.

Not sure it's a time thing instead of a focus thing. Related but not the same. The guys I've seen who are good at approaching will shoot the shit, but their eye is always on the prize and they will strike quickly...and keep doing it as long as it's necessary. However, your larger point is true: time is the most valuable commodity we have because it's the one thing we can never make more of, unlike money.

When your time becomes valuable you become highly focus because you don't want to waste any of it and this applies to everything in life.

Good thread. Time can be more important than money even.

Take away everything and all you have is your body and time.

It also starts to move much faster as you get older.

Time on earth is limited, so get crackin with what you want to do.

$300/hour roughly. I view dates through this lens as well, thats why most are pointless and online dating is worse than blackjack

I can't quantify it, but my time is super valuable.

I wish someone would have mentioned this, getting rejected doesn't really bother me at all anymore. It's the feeling of investing X amount of time and not getting anything for it that pisses me off.

I have very little patience for teases and will actively next them. I'm too busy and my down time too important to my sanity to want to waste time on pointless small talk dates especially if there isn't much chemistry. Thoae 3 to 4 hours could have been better spent learning a language, reading a book, cooking dinner, or hanging out with people that add value to my life.

I'm at a phase right now where i really just want to make life deposits. Hot, tight women will always be around so if that means waiting a few years so be it.

You wished someone would have mentioned what? When your time is valuable you will actually seek rejection. The quicker you get rejected the less time you waste. It's called Going for the NO. You will also screen more heavily. I was talking to this cute girl on the beach the other day and I asked her where she lived and she said she is currently living with her brother who she was waiting on. That was the end of the conversation. The logistics would have been too difficult...

Okay when you talk about time and worth, look at ROI. Now see how many hours you are putting in and the quality of lizards you are getting?

What's your end goal? Lays? Or relationships or good convos?

How many hours have you put in in the past month and how many decent convos have you gotten from those hours put in?

That's the true test to see if you want to put it into raw stats and number crunching.

I think what the OP says is true, and it's not just true for game, it's true globally.

I'm a graphics student myself, I do 3D visual art for film, games and apps. I've noticed that the students who value their time get the best results and improve the fastest. Students who happily work for weeks on an assignment that could have been done in less than a week, often fall behind, don't improve as much and eventually they'll fail and drop-out. Other students decide to give up their free time to spend more time on their school assignments, as a result they get average grades but their social life is non-existent, nevermind their game.

I however try to be the best student from my class with the highest grades, while at the same time working out to get buff and going out to game girls. The only way to do all of that and actually be successful at all of it is by proper time management. Valuing every second of your time is important for success.
