Come on guys..DC is not THAT bad. I mean there are clubs just like the one in the pic, but there are also many with a better ration than that. I'm sure I could go to LA or Chicago and find clubs just like the one in the pic here in the thread.

Rocco,

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll be sure to check out NOVA when I get back in town. I'm new to this forum and I already love it. Great advice from people who actually know what they are talking about.

Talked with my boy who has actually stayed right outside a shanty-town in Rio with a girl. He say's you cant imagine the talent in those shanty's. It's undescribeable and dangerous as a motherf*cker! He's been all over Brazil and spent carnival in Bahia. He's a walking zombie in DC. There's nothing there for him.

"If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington , DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. capital, (which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S.), than you are in Iraq ."

DC was pretty solid several years ago. i used to hit DC 2x-3x a year and seemed to be amazed because the ratio's were in my favor and women would give me an invitation to approach.

I went down there with a buddy this past summer for 3-4 days and hopped from dupont, adams morgan, and u street. we hit the happy hour spots on a thurs/friday. nothing. whatever talent i remember in DC, has left. hate to validate your observations, but i'd bounce.

Same exact experience. DC was solid a few years ago, with lots of women giving signals like you said, and awful now: every club is a sausage fest.

Does anyone know what happened? Why has the scene changed so much in DC in the over the past couple of years?

I live in the DC area and I have not been "out" like that. Still, whenever I go out in DC, I always hit a spot where there is much more women than men.

But.....

I have been hearing rumblings from DC women saying that they will go out in some other city because they can get a more traditional approach because DC men "abuse the ratio". I could see that because when I was out more and DC had women all over the place, I was a 100%, Grade-A, a$$hole.

Ha! That pic I posted was classic!

Quick update:
I started this thread during the dog days of winter. It's warming up around here and things have gotten little better. I changed my venues(for the most part) and started using online dating sites as a supplement.

Avister I wish I knew what happened.

Does anybody remember south of dupont back in 07/08? Sooo many chics just walking around. I remember the first time I went to Play lounge(midtown) back then. The place was packed with women. Then you'd step outside and the sidewalks had girls coming out of 1223. 1223 is gone and now its called dirty martini and its not even a club anymore.

Heck even Lucky bar used to be great. That place was like shooting fish in barrel. Now its terrible(low quality and a sausagefest). Actually that area of the city used to be like an oasis. It's kinda turned into adams morgan now. I was at public and rumors last weekend it was such a sausage party.

Or do you remember the park at 14th back in 08/09? Two years ago I went to their international nite and it was 4 floors of model looking chicks of every race. It used to be diverse and high quality. Now its ghetto as hell. Recently an NFL player got stabbed outside of there.

Even during the day and after work Dupont used to have alot of hot girls walking around. Now its a lot less. Not sure what happened. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed.

Hi Rakeesh. Yes, I remember all of that. I used to get a lot play in Dupont (Front Page, 1223), Fur, Platinum. That was like 07. DC has changed drastically recently, and I am struggling to find out why.

Now let's get to the theories:

-BRAC - base realignment by the federal government is bringing back tons of soliders to Ft Meade, Nova, and the ending of operations in Iraq...

Thanks for this post.

1) So DC is attracting IT jobs, but not any other jobs? Techies are flocking to DC because California is "paradise lost" in this recession?

2) I definitely agree with the end-of-war in Iraq theory. I've thought about that myself. I see a lot of young marines out and about these days.

Overall, very cogent two theories, Caramel Communist. Thanks. If you can provide some more info, I'd be grateful.

This can explain why there are more guys in DC, but why are there less girls? Are there less college students? Is it more expensive to go out?

whats funny to me is i've lived here my whole life and it actually seems like its gotten better recently, although I havent been out much in the last 6 months. Obama actually seemed to attract a fair amount of young save the world type girls in the 08-09 timeframe but i'm not sure if that has tapered off. DC has never really attracted beautiful girls. sure there are a few here and there but the ones who are really hot tend to pursue professions that reward beauty (modeling, tv, hospitality). also, hot girls seemed more drawn to beach atmospheres - i dont know how many of the hotter 22 y/o types have bolted for San Diego/LA. They usually spend 5-10 years out there then relocate back to be near family. DC has always drawn lots of consultants who come here w/job offers directly out of college w/the Booz Allen, Accenture, and PWC's of the world. Sure, some of them are hot, but its more the homely academic type. You also get a lot of the khaki wearing men who put the girls on a pedestal, giving them an increasing sense of self worth. its kind of funny, last time I was in LA at the beach area I saw several smokin hot chicks w/guys who had the emo band look, tight jeans, crazy hair, etc. Thats something you rarely if ever see here - those girls here are w/the high powered corporate/attorney types.

It actually started when Obama was getting elected. Late'08/Early'09. I remember thinking at the time it had to do with the recession - people couldn't afford to go out. But it's been like that ever since. Last weekend was no different at the clubs, 2 guys for every girl. It's hard to imagine these days, but the ratio was 2 girls for every guy in 2006/2007. Somehow DC lost a lot of girls early'09, and has never really recovered.

where the hell were you hanging in 06/07 w/that ratio?

the problem i've always had w/DC is that i'm a white male and I like white girls and some latin americans but DC is very diverse, has a lot of middle eastern and asian types which aren't really my preference. we dont get the sexy latin american countries here either (brazil, argentina, etc) but more of the poorer central american countries.

Heads up: The ratios seem to be improving right now in the DC area. Eden, Fur, Josephine and even Adams Morgan have been trending even or very close to even over the past few weeks. Could be just a blip, or maybe something real. Let's wait and see.

I blame cheap texting.

Quote:Quote:

Keep in mind, this is a generalization. There are no 100 percent rules in this game. (There will always be some hookups going on.) First, it is no secret that generally, guys go out to get laid, while women go out for drinks, attention, and an ego boost. The AW type girl is famous for that. But what always puzzled me is the huge quantity of guys that they would reject. Some were some really good looking tall buff young dudes. Other groups of girls just seem uninterested in meeting men period. Are they lesbian? Do they not have needs too?

I believe it is due to the cell phone and text messaging and the so called "Booty Call" or more recently "The Booty Text." You see, that HB8 that flirted with, took drinks from, and rejected several guys doesn't NEED any of them. She also doesn't need to look like a sl&t by going home with one of them. Like any decent looking girl, she has at LEAST one FB or ex-bf's number stored in her phone.

So, she can get into the venue free (usually), have guys buy her drinks, dance lesbian with her gfs, and get a HUGE ego boost by rejecting a bunch of guys. Then, when she gets home with her buzz still on (that the bar/club dudes paid for), she will booty text her FB and have him come over to b&ng the sh*t out of her.

It's a win win win for her. She has a fun evening out and can still have hot sex in the end if she desires. Why go home with some strange dude that could be dangerous, a creeper, or bad in the sack? Why not stick with a guy she KNOWS is good in the sack and she's comfortable with? Plus, she can text him AFTER her gfs drop her off for the evening, so nobody is the wiser. (That eliminates the "looking like a sl*t" concern.)

So back to my other question, why is it easier to score on vacation than back home? Certainly people feel less inhibited on vacation. But more importantly, when she is away from home, SHE DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS TO HER FBs AT HOME. If she wants to get laid on vacation, she HAS to find a guy THERE to hook up with (unless she happens to know someone in that city).

So, to summarize, while all the rejected guys at the end of the night are scratching their heads asking themselves the following questions:

1. Where did I go wrong? That chick was soo into me.
2. Do I need to buy more seduction products?
3. Did I forget to neg or not stack enough routines LOL.
4. Do I need more gel for my mohawk LOL?
5. Does this t-shirt make me look fat LOL?

You have to realize that to SOME extent, the game may be rigged. A lot of girls may have NO intention of hooking up at the bar or club. They just want to party. When they want sex at the end of the night, they can order it faster than a pizza by sending a booty text to a guy they are ALREADY f*cking.

Ufortunately I have to take back what I said about the sitation improving, this past weekend was the usual sausage fest in DC's clubs.

So I guess going back to the original question, no one answered why the girls have left DC. I understand why more guys have arrived, but why have the women left DC over these couple of years?

Some people here have posted hopping on the Acela and hanging out in NYC on weekends.

Even disregarding the hotel/expenses, are you suggesting a Long Distance Relationship (LDR)?

Assume you're successful and get some play in NYC, and you have some #s in your phone. What next, you bring them over here, or you go over there every weekend to see them? Can LDRs work?

I think it's around $130-150 round trip if you take amtrak or you can take a nice bus like Bolt Bus or DC2NY for like 50$ RT, rent a decent to good apartment in Brooklyn or Manhattan (actually I prefer Brooklyn sometimes to Manhattan) for the weekend for like 50-100$/night and enjoy a weekend in NYC and budget like another 100$ a day for fun/food or take your buddies and get a bigger apartment and split.. either way it is doable but really only worth it for escapes from DC rather than LTR..

NYC and Philly are killing DC.

It's simply much harder for a chick to get by on her looks alone here.

Philly?...maybe NYC but not Philly.

a) I have DC chicks looking better than Philly chicks
b) MUCH more educated and gainfully-paid chicks in DC than Philly.

There are more diverse job options for chicks in Philly. The job options here are mostly government.

The arts scene is better in Philly.

I agree that DC chicks more or less look better, but when you rate them overall using Roosh's most recent post as a barometer http://www.rooshv.com/the-girl-score I rate DC chicks much lower than Philly chicks.

With all due respect to Roosh, that "nurturing factor" sounds like a housewife. To me, housewives or women without near equal income are too risky to have in today's judicial system.

Yes, I would like her to know how to cook but I PREFER some good income and credit score from the chick.
