And we continue…
5. Puerto Aventuras. About 20 minutes South of Playa del Carmen by driving. This place is total and completely different from the rest. It’s a wired development with houses, apartments, two huge hotels and one microscopic marina total and completely isolated where the access is controlled. I took my parents to this place last year and we stayed in this
condo. The name of the game here is the Catalonia Hotel, a huge, all inclusive hotel where about 90% of the guests are Europeans, mostly Spanish and French. The environment in the front beach is Mediterranean –Topless is the rule. Guests crowd in dozens of chairs to drink, smoke, talk and listen to music. Little girls, teens, young women, MILFs and old women take sunbaths topless. Now, topless is not allowed in Mexico, but in authorized nudist beaches, but since the place is isolated this practice is tolerated. Next to the Catalonia it’s the Omni Hotel another big all-inclusive adult only hotel. The rest of the place is basically dead. Problem with Puerto Aventuras is that most of the people who live or come here are retired Americans. There are two bars next to the marina and the scene you see is a bunch of old timers getting drunk and talking about the good old times. Just 5 minutes from Puerto Aventuras it’s Xpu-Ha, a stunning beach which is the place of choice for families. Aside from a few restaurants there is nothing else to do there after the afternoon. Summarizing: Puerto Aventuras is not a good option for game if you are not staying at the Catalonia or the Omni.
6. Akumal. Do you like turtles? Well, this place is for you, a world famous beach where turtles arrive to drop their eggs. The hotels here are very expensive, and the place is basically for families.
7. Tankah. If you drive 15 minutes South of Akumal you will find Tankah. And you will find more turtles!
8. Tulum. This place is an archeological site which contains the ruins of a temple built to honor Ixchel, the Mayan Godess of Fertility. Next to it there is a huge unbelievable jaw-dropping beach, you will feel you are diving into a gigantic swimming pool. The water is warm and you can go into the open sea 100 m and still touch the bottom with your feet. There are three beach clubs in the place. One of them (the one with big advertising signs of Corona Beer) has a kind of happy hour at 1 pm. There is reggae and salsa music and people gather around it after paying tribute to Godess Ixchel. Problem with Tulum is that since the beach is huge and very wide you feel the momentum of a crowded beach never comes. That is, the environment of a crowded beach full packed with pussy and game. Tulum is also the paradise of boutique hotels, that is, small hotels (up to 10 rooms) where guests are ‘pampered’, and irrationally overcharged for everything. Just don’t do it! Don’t you waste your money! A final tip about the place. Either you rent a car, a taxi or you are taken in a bus in a tourist package, you are going to access through the archeological site. Next to the access there is a stone road to the beaches. Taxi drivers are going to approach you offering you to take you to the beach. Don’t you take them! They are going to charge you $US15 just for just a half a mile distance.
9. Sian Ka’An. This is an ecological reserve, about 4 hours by driving from Cancún. I didn’t know there were hotels or touristic services there.
10. Xcaret. Five minutes South of Playa del Carmen it’s the aquatic park of Xcaret. The place is just paradise on Earth. Subterranean rivers, an aquarium, natural pools, a zoo, a lagoon for snorkeling, another lagoon to swim with stingrays and lemon sharks, another lagoon to swim with dolphins, an small but beautiful beach, high cuisine restaurants, etc. Here you will find pussy from all around the World, a little problem is the logistics. Basically, game is around the subterranean rivers where some girls get nervous in some points, and the ‘natural pools’ (they sculpted the ‘pools’ in the solid rock and are filled with the water that comes from the breaking waves). Game or no game, the place is worth at US$95 (buffet included).
11. Xel-Ha. Do you like snorkeling? This place is for you. It’s an aquatic park with a huge lagoon where you can snorkel among huge banks of fishes. For US$50 you will get access to the place and can eat and drink everything you want.
Now the first decision you need to make is what places you want to know. If you stay in Cancun you don’t need to rent a car because everything is at hand. Even if you want to know Xcaret or Xel-Ha you can buy the package that includes transportation. The bus picks you up at 6:30 am, takes you to the place and brings you back at 7:00 pm. Just ask for it at your hotel’s front desk. Besides the hotel beach, visit these public beaches: Chac Mool and Delfines, the beaches of choice of Spring breakers.

If you want to visit the places South of Cancun, your better option is to stay at Playa del Carmen because it’s in the middle of everything but you’d need to rent a car, otherwise, you are going to pay a fortune in taxis.
