Looking for good investment guides

I'm no expert but Doug Casey is, he says:

Buy gold. Buy Silver. Buy property abroad. Internationalize your assets. Get a second citizenship if you can.

I've been reading his books recently, and watching everything I can on youtube about him. Interesting fella. Originally wrote Crisi Investing waaaaay back.

Some good investing wisdom linked below. An example -

'The phrase “double-dip recession” was mentioned 10.8 million times in 2010 and 2011, according to Google. It never came. There were virtually no mentions of “financial collapse” in 2006 and 2007. It did come. A similar story can be told virtually every year.'

I don't trust the main stream media when it comes to economic news. I stick to Bloomberg and Reuters. I've noticed that a lot of the "economic fear mongering" is part of trying to scare investors so the big boys can get the fresh heaps first.

That was a great article. Cheers!

As for me. I ordered this book awhile ago - http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Random-Walk-...walk+stock - it isn't a very famous book. But I have a feeling it might be a good one.
