The Division of Generation Y- Raul Felix

Just found this guy.

Quote:Quote:

Raul Felix is a writer from Huntington Beach, CA who served in the US Army from 2005-2009. He writes at RaulFelix.com about his personal alcohol infused misadventures, travel, social and gender issues in what some have described in a sexist and insensitive manner. He is on a quest to be one of the greatest writers of our modern era and have as much fun in the process as possible.

An excerpt from the article:

Quote:Quote:

Taking an educated guess, I assume a lion’s share of the readership of Thought Catalog are liberal arts degree bearing, student-loan debt ridden types who think those who joined the military were too stupid to go to college and were unaware cogs in the political war machine run by evil multi-national corporations with the goal of maximizing profit and exploiting the lower class. In turn, we think you’re a bunch of overly sensitive, pretentious, hyper-liberal pussies, so its even.

Another article on how women should please her man:

1. Never get fat.
2. Support him in his endeavors.
3. Become his sexual fantasy.
4. Make him a sammich.

He's red pill, and should be invited to the forum.

Yeah, he already was published on ROK. The article got nothing but disdain from the RVF peanut gallery.

I thought the article was OK, assuming the audience is guys who want an LTR. However, the RVF loosely divides into three camps with different goals:

- players: looking for notch count and pump and dumps
- LTR guys: looking for a high quality girl to raise their kids; and maybe some sidepieces to go along with that
- manosphere spambots: looking to vent about the lamentable state of women and the world in general

So naturally the article took a lot of heat from the other two camps not interested in LTRs.

I also think it makes more sense when you view it in terms of foreign women. You guys that have only experienced gringas think his advice is anti-game, and maybe it is for those girls. But for feminine, foreign women it might be properly calibrated.

Most guys reject red pill thinkers. Like autistic kids insta projectile vomit with certain stimuli. It needs to be fed in tiny amounts at first, then increased. Just off his writings, I could see me him and mikecf getting drunk in a bar in Huntington Beach, smacking bitches asses and making fun of the simps.

I'll promote Raul to my friends. He rates that so far.

Something off about this guy. Comes off as too slick/glib to me. I don't buy his shtick.

Ali I don't doubt you've met your share of schemers and bullshitters in the military, I feel he's that type. Just a sense I get.

Quote:Quote:

Now with the Iraq War over and Afghanistan drawing to a close, we’re attempting to find our individual identities, independent of being a veteran. We’re attending your colleges, working at your jobs, and starting our own businesses. We’re a creative bunch with stories to tell and are working our asses off to become writers, film makers, actors, photographers, and artists. We’re seeking to become professionals and thus attending your medical, law, and business schools. We may have had a later start in life on our formal education, but our real world knowledge runs deep. We don’t think we’re better than you and don’t want your sympathy. We know we volunteered for the job and did it to the best of our ability. In essence, we know there is one key difference between us: we’ve already been through the hardest time in our lives, whatever else the world throws at us, we can handle it

"Creative bunch"? "working our asses off"? Very dead stock phrases here, like a con guy spinning his tale. Don't like it.

same old shit, sixes and sevens Shaft...

"So naturally the article took a lot of heat from the other two camps not interested in LTRs."

Your characterization is glib and inaccurate. The problem with his advice is that, like you judging by your agreement, it assumes you need to regularly worship and pay tribute to the woman in order to have a healthy relationship as opposed to the exact opposite, where the man is dominant and the woman shows her affection more strongly and frequently than the man. Thus Roissy's golden rule, that she must give more than you. His advice is the opposite, and thus is nothing less than typical 'blue pill' advice.

Those two things in your quote are not exact opposites. You can even have both of those coexisting at once. It's a question of degrees.

Regularly could mean once a week or once every six months. But yes, you do need to show appreciation sometimes. The author was not talking about shit you do every day, but shit you will still need to do at certain moments.

At no point does he state you have to give more than her. He just says you have to give sometimes.

Since you mentioned Roissy, in passing we should recall his rule of thumb is you give her 2 for every 3 she gives you. You also change it up and keep her guessing. But you're talking about a world where you give her 0 for every 3.

I'm talking about random, unexpected positive emotional spikes. If in your own relationships you plan to eliminate any positive gesture ever, you're talking about an emotional flatline punctuated by occasional dread game and outbursts of displeasure. Good luck with that.

Also, your reality is different to mine. I spend most of my time in Latin America with sweet, feminine women. If you are not cariñoso here, you're an aspie, low value man. So my calibration is different. Something I explicitly stated further up the thread.

I said more, not all from the woman. And ROKs audience by far is people in Anglophone countries.

If I offered a dude advice with girls and then said 'oh this only on works on gay dudes, not straight girls" I can't really claim my advice was 'right.' His article wasn't about foreign girls per se. And when you're playing with the sluts prevalent in the west, you have nothing until youve fucked them, so some player tendencies are vital.

This guy's all right....he's just a younger dude who's trying to find his voice in the world, his place in the bigger scheme.
We have to be forgiving of the basic mistakes of the initiate novice, like bragging too much or coming off as hyper-aggressive. These types of things are expected. With time, these things dissolve away.

He can put his thoughts to paper, seems articulate, and seems to be sincere.

His ROK article on relationship game got a lot of hate, and I suppose this is part of "running the gauntlet." I think he had no idea what kind of a minefield he was stepping in when he entered the ROK/RVF arena. He was basically trying to express his love of his girlfriend, but...let's just say that we can be an unforgiving lot to the "Compliment and Cuddle" philosophy.

All of us have our sensitive side (I hope), but I think his mistake was not knowing his audience's appetites.

I actually am already a member of this forum. I just never comment, just lurk. I've been a big fan of Roosh V, Neil Strauss, and other game writers for a long while.

Also, I don't claim to be a master pick up artist or any of that shit. I'm just a guy who has the balls to hit on chicks and get rejected a lot.

Interesting article that seems to have a profound truth in it. And the current media narratives all equate Gen-Y with the the folks who did NOT go to war.

"Equality may perhaps be a right, but no power on earth can ever turn it into a fact."

"Want him to be more of a man? Try being more of a woman!"

"It is easier to be a lover than a husband, for the same reason that it is more difficult to be witty every day, than to say bright things from time to time."
