Net10 has an unlimited package for iPhones that is 50 bucks. It's on the AT&T network so it's great coverage.

So I can just buy an iphone off of craigslist and switch over?

How is their customer service?

It may need to be unlocked and if it's a verizon phone it can't be but yes.

I haven't needed their customer service so couldn't say.

I have a Sidekick LX 2009.

And service wise, I have red pocket.
Unlimited talk and text with 100 mb of data for $30.

Customer service is shit. But if your pockets are low and don't mind being on hold to the point that you start rapping to the music, RedPocket is for you!

Nope.

Works pays for my phone. I have a Droid 4 with Verizon. I still have a grandfathered unlimited data plan!

At the moment:
HTC G2 ($100) with Tmobile $30 plan that gives me 100 minutes and 5GB data. I run through the minutes and then switch to "internet calling" since I only consume 2GB of data per month.

Plan:
Upgrade to a Nexus 5, $400 for the 32GB model without contract. The phone has been out for less than a month.

I have the Nexus 4 16GB without contract. I'm using Straight Talk $45 a month unlimited call, text, and data. So much better than the iPhone on Verizon costing me $130 a month with data.

I'll probably switch over late next year to the newest Galaxy S? model.

HTC One with Net 10. Get Net 10 if At&t is good in your area or Simple Mobile if T Mobile is. I need to switch over to Simple Mobile because its cheaper and I'm using a T Mobile phone. I would go to a ghetto cell phone store and just get a nice smart phone for a couple hundred. You're gonna have to get on a contract if you want something nice and for cheap.

In the long run contract phones are much more expensive. It's easier to buy a phone and then purchase service.

I just picked up the Nexus 5.

I have not been this confident on a phone since I left my awesome Blackberry Bold 5 years ago.

I use mine as:

1- A phone
2- Email
3- Text
4- Light reading and some apps.

So I have unlimited minutes, 1 GB data, CDN$72 a month plus tax.

Got this phone, the Samsung Comment II, through Cricket. $59.99 phone, $15.00 activation fee, $45.00 monthly service for unlimited talk, text, and long distance. Works for me.

It's got a slot for a mini SD card and a headphone jack so it doubles as my MP3 player. My only complaint is that if I receive a text message, my music cuts off. Not sure if I can change that or not. It's a minor annoyance.

Look into Boostmobile and Virgin if the Sprint network is good in your area

@pyre - there's stores here that sell no contract phones for every company. He clipped my sim card so it would fit in the new phone too. Its a HTC One S.

A 3 year old Blackberry curve.

I pay $35 a month, unlimited texting and local calls. No caller ID.

Considering that plans in Canada are extremely high (its not uncommon for people to spend +$80 a month), I'm satisfied.

In the US market - look at Lycamobile. It's a pay as you go service provider that's piggy backing on T-mobile network. You will need an unlocked GSM pphone of course. I spent less than 10 dollars a month and I use internet and talk minutes.

I have HTC One after getting two IPhones stolen. But for my next phone I'm moving to a cheap samsung I think. I don't like the idea of losing a few hundred if I leave my phone on the table and am not looking for a minute and somebody snatches it.
