Do women despise short guys?

As many have said before: be careful of listening to anything women say.

Example relating to this topic:

When I was a freshman in college, there was a girl I was messing around with who told me she could never date me because I was too short for her and she'd look too big beside me. I avoided her after that because I was insulted.

A few months ago she friended me on Facebook. And there she is in her photos with a guy who is around two inches shorter. She still looks good and has options. Clearly, her height statement to me was a shit test. Which I failed.

Some years ago, me and an acquaintance were talking. She was describing this blind date she had, and was RAVING about this guy. She was going on and on. Somehow, I knew there was a "but" in there. And there was. She said he was too short. Mind you, this bitch is a straight up, Wizard of Oz-style munchkin. Barely scraping 5 feet herself. I asked her how tall he was, and she said around 5' 5". I said to her "The guy had a full 5 inches on you, yet he's too short?" "Yeah, I like much taller guys" she responds. I'm thinking to myself...this bitch could play one of Santa's elves in the Radio City Christmas Extravaganza, yet she has THAT kind of stringent height requirement? THAT'S why she's single.

You know women maintain these ridiculous lists of requirements for men (regardless of their own issues), and some of those requirements are etched in stone, but some aren't. This particular chick unrealistically, in my opinion, stuck to a height requirement even though she's still shopping in the children's section. That's on her. Game isn't a cure-all for everything. This guy she dated obviously passed muster, except for that one attribute, and it got him x'ed out. You still need to keep your game tight, and control the things you can. You'll run into some chicks that might think they have a height requirement, but toss it out the window for YOU.

I'm 6' so I never had to worry about this - however, IMO all those skanks can keep their laundry list of unrealistic requirements. WHY the fuck do we even care about this shit? Look guys - we are fighting a fight which can ONLY BE WON BY STARVING THE BEAST. All that drama of the past few days may only have one single benefit for ROK and its community in that it may inadvertently extent its reach to more hapless shmucks out there. But otherwise we ALL should focus on finding women abroad and enriching our game and our careers to such extend that we do not have to even worry about American princesses anymore. No red blooded American male should spend a Dollar or a minute of his time catering to those skanks. Starve the beast, guys - starve the beast. That is the only long term solution.

I was talking abiut this with a woman who is about 5'6. She said that she did not have anything against short guys and would be open to dating someone who is like 5'8". I said "what about a guy who is 5'3"?" She was like "What? come on, are you serious? I dont even know any guys who are 5'3". Stop being ridiculous"

Which is crazy, there are many guys who are 5'3". Yet in her mind these people dont even exist.

I know a hot chick. Her ex-boyfriend told me that she once said she would rather date a fat guy than a short guy...

It is what it is.

I would be surprised if many hot chicks date short guys. But who knows?

In my experience it is the really short girls who want/prefer really tall guys. I'm 5'8 and have been rejected over the height issue more by girls who are 5'0 - 5'2 than girls 5'5 - 5'8 and even above. Most women I have dated have been 5'6 and taller. It's the super short women who are Nazis about height. I know several women who are like 5'1 and only hook up with men over 6'0.

Anyone else experience this? Maybe it's evolutionary? Shorter women want their offspring to be tall and hence the craving for really tall men?

^^^^^^
Exactly. This was discussed somewhere else once, maybe at Roissy's. It matters little to me because I find really short women profoundly unattractive. I hate the way they scamper around like little mice. If they stay away they do me a favor.

Jewish women tend to overlook height, by the way. I was married to a Jewish woman (taller than me by an inch, BTW) and when she took me to synagogue I'd constantly see women towering over men. The general idea is they prefer brains over brawn.

When I was a community newspaper writer I saw blonde girls towering over their Asian or Hispanic boyfriends at the local high school. The guys were clearly "built" and jocks -- and masculine as hell -- but really short.

So I think ethnicity is changing this game, but it might be a generational thing too.

What do all these guys have in common? They all have tight game. And you can't say its because of the money because these girls are balling with money themselves.

Kudos to Marc Anthony, dudes got game!!!

Marc Anthony is a boss.

He's short, doesn't have an ounce of muscle and pulls quality girls.

Even if he had no money or fame, I'd bet on him still being able to still pull some quality pussy.

I think there's an evolutionary aspect, both in terms of passing certain genes to their children, and feeling safe and protected by a bigger, taller man. There's also an aesthetic aspect, where they don't want to get stared at when they're out together because she's the same height or taller than her man. I've heard a lot of guys say they won't date a woman taller than them for the same reason.

Yeah but this is not the same as a 5'0-5'2 chick rejecting a 5'5 guy because he is short.

A 5'9-5'10 man, would not reject a 5'7 girl for being too tall.

I think it has less to do with evolution and more to do with shorter girls having height insecurities themselves.

I'm 6'3 and I'll tell you straight up that social situations come easier to me for the sole reason of my height. I connect easier with older men, I get away with not being as sharp in interviews, and women cut me a lot of slack. Hell, people cut me a lot of slack. I think I'm viewed as better at work than what I really am, partially because of my height. When I'm out at bars, every girl over 5'7 turns her head and checks me out.

Sometimes its nice, but it hasn't made my game any better. In fact, I think that it's hurt my overall game because it can make me lazy. I hypothesize that I've skipped steps in game because of my reliance on my height. I certainly don't think I pull hotter chicks because of it. I will say that I can get girls in the 5-6 range pretty much automatically, when I feel like it at the end of the night.

One could compare it to the wealthy son that never had the chance to work his way up from having nothing. The son will have skipped major lessons that would have made him a better man.

Other points:
-Shorter guys look better on camera as they are generally more proportional. Taller women look better for the same reason.
-Shorter guys can build a muscular frame easier. I've been working out for 15 years and am just now feeling like there's some muscle showing. I can do 20 straight pullups.
-Shorter guys can wear clothes off the rack and have a better time flying. When I fly, I'm miserable. It took me 8 years of shopping to finally find my style and clothes that fit. It's expensive.
-Guys that are 5'3 are as common as girls that are over 6'0 in America. Not common.

I guess the point that I'm trying to make is that no one has all the advantages. The people I've come across in my life that I've thought had the easiest lives, all created other problems for themselves. Don't ever wish for someone else's problems. Concentrate on your own.

I read through that twitter feed and noticed that all of those girls look fairly attractive. Don't you think they have the right to choose the type of man they want? I for one certainly wouldn't be seen in public with a girl that has large 'linebacker' shoulders. I lot of girls can't help the size of their shoulders or legs. There's such a thing as female ectomorphs (who do you think creates the males?). I dare say that if you were a short guy that had his shit together, was smooth, fun, and smart, you wouldn't even notice a few tall girls with fake attitudes.

Stop crying about girls judging qualities you can't help, until you're ready to be seen with a pretty female that is 5'10 and 165lbs and squats more than you do.

I used to like short girls [Image: undecided.gif] But, your absolutely right. You popped my balloon just a little.

Don't Jews marry whoever they can get their hands on as they approach 30? I always thought that in the Jewish community, they were taught to reproduce with their own? You know, in order to preserve the race and culture.

I'm 5'8 and like majority of the girls are smaller or same size at me so I'm definitely not short. When you get girl that is taller then you like a lot it's hilarious when she kiss you....

TBH I think that guys between 5'7 to 5'9 have best of the both worlds not to short not to tall. You feel in economy class like in business just can't complain.

I think taller men want a tall woman. Drastic height disparities can be very awkward, and it isn't just about how you look together. Just walking together, with your arm around her waist makes your arm and shoulder hurt after a while. In bed it also creates issues. I'm 6'2" and would LOVE to find a 5'10" chick. I think if a woman is on the hunt for a husband, you can't throw out the evolutionary aspect. She's definitely thinking about what she wants her kids to look like. Women that are purely looking to date and sleep around, it may be more about insecurities and how others might view who she's with. Like anything with men and women, there are two different trains of thought in terms of what characteristics we consider important, and which ones we couldn't care less about.

I'm curious...and this goes out to everyone here. What's the cut-off under which a man is considered short? I've always thought that sub-5'9" is considered short. What's the average male height anyway? 5'10" or so?

the problem is not "height-trolling" but height denialism. height really, really matters, especially to north american women. i'd wager it's among the top 3 qualities they look for in a man. taller men get girls easier, get hotter girls, and have access to a wider range of girls.

if you're a man who's 5'5"-5'7" then expect a constant uphill battle. if you're 5'4" or under then you're in deep shit.

what's the solution? wear lifts, get swole, dress well, stack paper, approach more, and/or lower your standards.

I'd rather be a tad short at 5'8 than too tall at 6'5.

Women despise short guys who:
- don't work out and look after themselves
- don't socialize well and engage them correctly
- aren't confident in their own skin
- aren't confident enough to approach and make things happen
etc.

Just like I despise girls who:
- cut their hair short
- overweight or obese
- lack of feminine attitude
- dress or groom poorly

It's a balance.

I don't take it to heart, but Roissy has a dating market value test for men that can estimate what your sexual value to women is. Out of something around 26 points you can get, only 1 is through being tall (and only 1 is lost for being short). There are too many other factors to account for besides height (and fortunately enough, at least by this test most points you can get attest for game rather that looks or physical features).

At the end of the day, I'd bang attractive girls taller than me, but I much rather be around girls that are my height or shorter. That isn't a problem since 80% of girls fit that category, I have a lot to choose from.

There have been studies that bear this out. Taller men definitely command initial respect from both men and women in employment settings. There was a study with infants where they showed them pictures of attractive women, and not-so-attractive women, and even the infants were able to recognize the difference and responded more positively to the attractive pictures. Many like to deny the influence of certain physical characteristics and how people react to them. No one is saying these reactions/influences are absolute, but they do matter to a certain extent. For some individuals, greater weight is placed on those characteristics.
