Paleo Diet - Do I need greens?

The aim of the paleolithic diet is to mimic the hunter-gatherer diet. Therefore, the vast majority of the volume of food you eat should consist of vegetables. Also, keep in mind that meat and seafood are also very important for the paleolithic diet.

You also need to bear in mind that to eat a real paleo-diet, you must eat natural foods such as grass-fed beef, free-range chicken and eggs, mercury-free fish, and organic vegetables.

Anyone who eats typical store bought chicken, beef, eggs, and vegetables and believes that they are eating like a hunter-gatherer is deluding himself.

Just to provide one example, eggs from free-range hens provide a perfect 1:1 ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. On the other hand, typical store bought eggs are skewed in favor of Omega-6 by a 10:1 ratio -- or more. Complete garbage for your body.

If I don't eat two large plates of raw spinach a day I don't feel right.

Do you eat it plain?

Sometimes. I will grab a box of it at the grocery an eat it like potatoe chips ones by one. Today I drizzled olive oil. Sea salt. Black peppe. Red pepper. Sliced garlic. And a little apple coder vinegar. Spinach is one of the best sources of magnesium and magnesium is essential!

That's funny. I literally just finished reading an article about magnesium as a chelator for removing toxic metals from the tissues and organs of the body. You apparently need three forms of magnesium for the best result (magnesium citramate, ascorbate, and malate).
