Supplements, diet and whatever else. Break down your daily routine of essentials that keep you going
For me at the moment:
Flaxseed oil: 2 tablespoons a day (with a meal). I used to take fish oil capsules but they always leave an unpleasant aftertaste that doesn't go away. So I've started using organic flaxseed oil as a replacement omega source.
Coconut oil: 2 tablespoons a day (with a meal). I've tried several brands of coconut oil by far the best one is the Biona Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil which tastes and smells great, also feels great to the touch so its perfect for applying to the hair and skin too.
Green tea: I use the Teapigs Mao Feng green tea brand which has great flavour and comes in these great "temple" style tea bags. Usually I add honey to it, I'd say I have 3-5 cups daily, sometimes more. Probably my favourite thing ever. After a few cups of green tea I always get this kind of pure mental clarity and energy, amazing, couldn't live without it.
Vitamin D3: I'm dark skinned and living in a cold climate with almost zero exposure to sunlight in the winter months. I have no idea why I didn't start taking this sooner. For many years I would get nonsensical depression in the winter or any grey periods of the year, I used to think it was because of real life issues but since I've started taking D3 I can wake up in the morning and feel normal like it was carefree summers day. Bold statement to make I know but give it a try. I'm on 1000IU a day and I don't really feel like I need to up the dosage.
Zinc: I need to get my hands on some optizinc, but for the time being I'm taking 25mg of zinc gluconate daily. You already know about the powers of zinc.
ACV: I haven't been able to find Bragg's in the UK and the other brands I've tried don't give me the same effects even though they contain the mother. The difference in Bragg's for me was that I could feel the affects almost instantaneously, like a wave of power coursing throughout my body and carrying me throughout the day. Will have to order it online.
Ginseng: Something that hasn't really been talked about much here. I take a high strength ginseng capsule which contains extracts of American, Korean, Red Chinese and Siberian ginseng. This is like cocaine to me but without the euphoria, that's why I've stopped taking it in the morning and save it for before I go out at night. I can't sit still after I've taken one of these, but maybe if you're a morning espresso drinker try this instead.
Lime: One lime squeezed into a glass of water in the morning and at night, pure citrus freshness say no more.
Avocados: Extremely filling and make you horny as fuck (coming second to zinc in this category). Great for breakfast just cut it open and eat with a spoon.
Nuts: I eat a combination of Brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts and pistachios which are good for many things especially heart health, standard shit.
Sunflower seeds: More therapeutic than anything, perfect to have on your desk while you are working or doing whatever. Cracking open the shell between your teeth and eating the elusive seed becomes addictive once you get the hang of it, great way to cut down on smoking because it keeps your hands occupied.
Chamomile tea: Before going to bed drinking a pot of chamomile tea is one of the most calming things you can do, by the end of it I'm in this peaceful, dreamy state and I can fall asleep like a child.
