Unfortunately I never made it to the Jungle, but it is supposed to be the spot in Negril, probably the best spot to try and pick up chicks. One cool thing about Negril is that there are a lot of reggae shows on the beach, and a lot of times they are big names that you may well have heard of. I agree that most Jamaican chicks who hit on you are going to be hookers and not worth fucking with, and personally I didn't find Jamaican women to be very attractive, with the exception of a few outliers. Also, the reputation is true, there are a bunch of white women that go there specifically because they have jungle fever and want to try some of the black shlong. Jamaican dudes are also ridiculously aggressive, like on another level of aggressive caveman game, and it works on a fair amount of chicks.
Cool to find another Negril lover on here. I could see many on this forum leaning towards Mobay as it's the place to go if you wanna smash 18-21 year olds but really why have a subpar vacation in what in my opinion is a less than desirable destination just to smash 18 years olds, may as well go to panama city. Negril in my opinion is by far way better, safer, less hassle, better beaches, etc, etc, etc.
My favorite hotel is CoCo La Palm however costs have gone up since a new resort next door openeed up they raised prices. There's definately some good cheap spots out there though. I agree cliffs are very cool, if your into adventure sports or being active some great cliff diving out by the cliffs. Ricks Cafe is a tourist trap but still pretty cool and worth checking out for an hour and a beer or two.
Something about Negril, when you run into people there most people are like yeah I been here 5 times, 10 times, 50 times, etc people love it and go back. Weed is very laid back there, mushrooms are legal though not really the same type as here in the states. Guys on the beach selling ganja banaan bread, brownies, etc.
I remember one night at dinner at a restaurant on the beach I asked the server for an ashtray, he said no smoking cigarettes mon, only ganja. He was joking of course but that was enough for me, pulled a bob marley sized spliff out my shirt pocket and blazed up as a 60 something couple was sitting at the table right behind me, cool thing is most people are very chill and easygoing whether older, younger, male, female, etc.
Yeah I forgot to comment on nightlife. The jungle is cool, best place to hookup. There are tons of live reggae shows on the beach and as OG said lots of pretty big names at the shows if your into reggae you'll probably recognize most names. Lots of places have live music but alfreds is one of the better known ones.
