Yeah its a pretty fun show with very beta characters. And of course the police captain had to be a fag that was shoehorned in. I like that its not too serious too. They will be using time travel as a deux ex machina a lot to fix show ending actions like they did in this episode.

I really hate the flashbacks in Arrow they interrupt the narrative flow and don't usually match up with what is going on in the current time.

I don't really consider it a deus ex machina though. Its explained how Barry is able to time travel pretty well in the comics, granted though show is doing its on thing more less with the plot points.

He cannot just use time travel when ever he wants to because it causes serious repercussions(The Flash Point Paradox)

Yea the characters are beta but eh once you know the red pill in you can see the subtle indoctrination, so its what ever to me personal.

One thing I did find funny though is how when Barry started messing around with the journalist chick, and had a more law of abundance mentality Iris suddenly realized she had feelings for him[Image: dodgy.gif]

Also "SPOILERS"

Wells killing Cisco had me like

He is not really dead and cisco doesn't know about Wells now. Dating the reporter did get him out of the friend zone purgatory.

Did anyone check out the Flash/Arrow finales?

I didn't really enjoy Arrow's finale. I think Arrow has honestly fallen off. Daredevil is much better.

I loved the Flash's finale though. My only gripe was how when Barry asked Eobard why he has so much hatred for him, Eobard just says "it doesn't matter". I feel like that was just weak writing, not to reveal the reason after all that build up.

Also Jay Garrick's helmet coming through the black hole towards the end was pretty cool.

Spoiler alert. I was hoping he would save the mom and see what things would have to change. Not sure reverse flash would survive that either. That guy seemed gay too but would make a decent Flash.

For arrow, of all people to give Raz al Gul to that was quite a bad deal. They should have explore Oliver as the demon head but used for good.

You should watch the flashpont paradox. it basically shows what would happen if he did save his mom.

Also I don't think Eddie is fully dead, his body got swept into the worm hole. Some people were speculating he will become one of the speedsters named Cobalt Blue.

I am just not really feeling Arrow anymore. Maybe its just the CW writing rearing its ugly head.

Arrow jumped the shark after they caved in to Millennial girls' demands to have the plain jane socially awkward chick facing the dilemma of picking between one tall handsome ripped smart billionaire who's secretly a super hero and another of the exact same caliber.

Arrow is definitely becoming beta now. And now every women close to him can fight at his level after several months. Constantine is a great cameo and was a fun show while it lasted.

Have you seen the writers of that show? There was a picture of the writers posted on Twitter and all five are young, female hipster types. One is even named Speed Weed .

I was there the day feminism fell...

Then it's even more remarkable that they actually did a pretty good job for quite a while.
I'm still watching - I'm not particularly critical about what I watch during lunch - but it's definitely not as good as the first two seasons. And I also seem to remember fight choreography being something that was fairly impressive for a TV show in at least the first season. That has gone completely down the drain now (although in part probably because they now have three, four or five good guys in damn near every fight).

On a superhero TV show side note, there's a new show tonight - Jessica Jones. I had never heard about that character before articles about the TV show started showing up.
It's on Netflix, so just like Daredevil all 13 episodes are supposed to air tonight I think (or be downloadable shortly thereafter for those of us not in countries with Netflix. And are new Netflix shows even released outside the US right away?)

Oh, good - just found this in an article about the supposedly many sex scenes in the show.
"... And now, on Netflix, something similar is happening. Marvel's Jessica Jones depicts men who are excited to be sleeping with powerful women as a matter of course."

I'm lowering my expectations already.

It's still a little painful - in other ways - to watch a show where the lead is the very definition of Nice Guy. Though The Flash/Barry is improving a bit in that department now.

Anyway, Arrow was also very enjoyable in the first couple of seasons, and The Flash is only on season 2 now.

... Watching the first Jessica Jones episode now. Most certainly much closer in style to Daredevil (no surprise since they are both Marvel shows on Netflix) than to Arrow or The Flash.

Arrow made several mistakes:
1. He stopped killing. He went from a badass who was taking people down to someone who wouldn't even avenge his mother's death. Yet, he has no problem killing random guards when he and Diggle were breaking in to the League's headquarters.

2. It's too easy to become a superhero. Oliver spent 5 years on the island (and elsewhere as we've learned) learning how to fight. Roy becomes better than an Olympic-level athlete and archer in about 2 months. Thea does it in 9 months (possibly enhanced by the Lazarus Pit) - also, a 98 pound girl is beating hardened criminals to death. Laurel learns kickboxing and can now defeat more men than Ronda Rousey.

3. Oliver loses the family business. In a move that rivals the plot of Dark Knight Rises in absurdity, Oliver loses his money and 50% of the character's storyline.

4. Ra's. They basically gave Batman's League storyline to Oliver and watered it down to the point of making Ra's boring...but his daughter was a piece of ass.

5. Oliver lives. Oliver is cut multiple times, impaled through the chest, dropped off a mountain in the freezing cold and lives because - natural herbs? Right. At least have him drink some Lazarus juice or a natural version of mirakuru.

6. Oliver doesn't call on the Flash. If you're going to have a shared universe, they need to have a realistic reason to not call in the Flash to break in to the League and rescue someone.

7. Oliver is too attached to Felicity. He's gone from a womanizing playboy to whipped - because female viewers want to believe that the wild, rich playboy can be tamed by a "strong woman".

8. Given what we know about his character, there's no good reason Lance would have made a deal with Damien.

There are others but that's enough for now.

Thea's fight with Diggle's Bad Little Brother was great. Looks like they borrow a bit from Hallway fight in Daredevil who borrowed from Old Boy.

They must have changed directors or fight choreographers.

And if you've read the comics, Arrow is not for you. This version of Arrow is really a more humane Batman.

In the comics, he's a hardcore limousine liberal. I very much doubt that RVF could stomach it given your collective politics.

I'm afraid they're headed that way with the whole running for mayor thing.

How is shooting arrows at peoples joints more humane than Batman's simple beatings and terror techinques?

Just watched the first Jessica Jones. She has a perma bitch face and occasionally cries. Her sort of boss is a cheating lesbian who was Trinity in Matrix. I have a feeling the bad guy is going to be an evil PUA misogyny guy sort of like what I have read on wiki about the comic. So far the most likeable people are Luke and radio show woman.

CW has always leaned left, Supernatural often has barbs about Right wing politicians from time to time. Likely its not the point of the show. I wouldn't be surprised if Arrow ends up being like Bernie Sanders.

I was watching it for a while but I kept getting annoyed by something that I just couldn't help but notice all the dame time.

The dude refused to kill the big wigs because people shouldn't kill or some bullshit, but the mofo fills the henchmen and goons with arrows like they're target dummies. I just couldn't get past that.
