POF "What Next" Question

POF "What Next" Question

I'm just starting to get into game. Bought and read Bang. Going to South America within a couple months. But working on what I can till then and I need some advice on how to navigate online, which is unfortunately all my work schedule allows at the moment.

I was on Plenty of Fish and tried an opener I saw recommended elsewhere combined with a personal comment or two for each message I sent out. I contacted a French Polynesian looking girl who lives locally and is a 10, at least by "dry spell" standards. Here was my opening message (she's wearing a short blue dress with white ruffles in her profile pic and another with Eiffel tower in background):

Subject: "so on a scale of 1 - 10....."

Body:

… how much of a snob are you? 1 being very touchy-feely extra special friendly … and
10 being, well, "unread deleted."

Your dress reminds me of waves with big whitecaps crashing across your hips. did you
go climb the Eiffel Tower?

She responded within a half hour:

Hello Patrick. I don't really know how to answer your question. I'd
say I'm about a 2?

I've been to Paris 3 times and never did I once climb the Eiffel
Tower. The lines are way too long.

I like your pics. Where were you in them? [Image: smile.gif]

My pics show me in Switzerland - one in Zurich, the other walking in a Swiss village with the Alps all around.

Anyways. Suggestions - what's the next step?

That 10 you messaged gets a million messages a day... she just glances at your picture and unread deleted.... just like that my friend.... welcome to the world of online dating. In the subject heading box type in something interesting or funny to get her to at least open up your message.

With the gal who messaged you back, Talk about paris and travelling.... Where you plan on going next etc... Don't do too much because you might run out of things to say on the first date. Keep in minimal and then suggest you 2 meet up for a coffee or drink somewhere locally. Then take it from there. Good luck!
