In a recent thread by Roosh (I'm sitting on 10 datasheets and I don't know what to do with them) the discussion came up as to wether we should make a private sub forum in the Travel section of the forum only viewable by RVF members. Lots of ideas where thrown around but Roosh came in with the final verdict.

Roosh does give solid reasoning behind his decision.


I wanted to make an argument as to why pictures posted should only be viewable to RVF members who are logged in.

- Members would be more willing to post pictures as they would know it would not be indexed by google and would be some what private at least only to members.

- It would be a huge incentive for lurkers to actually sign up to the forum helping grow the RVF forum.

We all know ultimately it is up to Roosh but it would be interesting to find out what all of you guys think.

It would only be a matter of time before a "member" decides they want to move an image elsewhere thus making it google indexed.

Plus, I would derive no additional comfort re anonymity or online security by using a "members only" forum.

This doesn't mean someone else (or Roosh himself) can create a separate forum or sub-section that is members only, but I completely see his point that you quoted above. It would kill the usefulness of the forum for nonmembers and inhibit growth.

Pictures will remain publicly viewable. You can use the PM feature to send private pictures to friends.
