I've got a strange feeling that Roosh is gonna be in season 2...

That last episode with the wedding was pretty good. Actually felt sympathy for Stewart and there was some development for the characters.

Here's Roosh's acting portfolio. Notice the range of emotions he is capable of.

I didn't think that Stuart could commit a bigger error than the one he committed in the wedding episode. I was wrong. Stuart doesn't really want to be a player. He'd rather be a simp.

Seriously, the finale pissed me off. First they show him being a completely oblivious beta asshole with no game and cringe-worthy social skills. When he has an actual shot with the model who by the way used him like toilet paper they make him go console his ugly tenant who is already being used (note getting fucked) by her alpha agent.

I figured they would show him learning game, banging a lot of pussy and then finally settling for his ugly tenant realizing that her personality is the best for him and that empty sex with LA bimbos was useless. This is blue-pill even by Hollywood standards.

Couldn't they have at least picked a cute looking tenant who doesn't look like she's already 35?

I actually think the tenant is hot. She is 30 right now.

HBO cancelled this show shortly after the first season ended, which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone considering how vapid and repetitive the episodes were. They just released a movie special a few days ago, which I've watched since I'm a Stephen Merchant fan. There are some obvious red pill truths and character evolution (not always in the right direction), but mostly it's more of the same beta blue pill shit that characterized the series, unfortunately with substantially less of Kives the wheelchair guy.

The only saving grace for me is that the show's universe comes to a final conclusion, which gives the movie more direction than the series had, and that there is a bit less cringe-inducing humor since the 90 minutes covers one story arc over instead of three or four separate episodes where he fails with multiple women each time.

All in all hello Ladies is a huge disappointment considering the esteem I and many others hold for The Office and Extras. Maybe Merchant will have more success with his next project but at this point it seems Gervais is light years ahead of him in acting and effective humor. Gervais's comedy, from stand up to sitcom, is much funnier and varied than Merchant's schtick.

A man who procrastinates in his choosing will inevitably have his choice made for him by circumstance.

A true friend is the most precious of all possessions and the one we take the least thought about acquiring.
