Bleed cash in Brazil, or do it cheap in the D.R.?

Bleed cash in Brazil, or do it cheap in the D.R.?

The main reason I recommend other cities than SD is the traffic and general lack of infrastructure and personally I dislike the stress and pollution that comes with it. However it may be getting slightly better as there are plans for an extension of the metro.

It's true Punta Cana is an all-inclusive type of deal. When in DR I have personally often set up base in an all-inclusive hotel and then taken cabs to nearby smaller towns whenever I felt like it (often). This way one has access to both local and Western girls (personally for sex I actually prefer Western girls since they are ruined anyway and when I get involved with local girls it's usually in some kind of relationship). Some of the foreign girls on vacation for 1-2 weeks in these all-inclusive big gated hotels are ridiculously easy.

However your plan of going to Santiago, Sosua and Cabarete sounds equally great. I haven't been to Santiago though Im hearing good things and I really liked Cabarete though I was only there for an afternoon. Im sure you know its a top place for kite surfing. Sosua I found had a slight p4p vibe to it but its a popular destination for lots of "normal" people who go there as well so it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Btw, the gym I was talking about in SD had one of the highest concentration of hot girls I ever saw in one venue in the whole country (Ive spent a total of around 10 months there). This was around 2 years ago but I doubt things have changed much if at all. I suspect the more expensive (by Dominican standards) gyms are pretty much all like this in that they attract the really hot girls. Other good day game venues in SD are Blue Mall and Acropolis Mall which are very close to each other.

"From here on out if I can afford it, I want to design my lifestyle around mini-retirements kind of like Tim Ferris outlines in the 4HWW, 4-8 weeks in a beautiful tropical local where I can chill the fuck out, and do it on the cheap."

After improving/preserving my health, making enough money to sustain my lifestyle for traveling and living abroad is my number two priority in life right now. It sucks being geographically restrained for financial reasons.

Og, I didn't read too deep into the thread but I saw you mention Morro De São Paulo. You should definitely try and make that trip some time between New Years and end of feb, as it will be peak season and you'll have your best results. I hear it's good for New Year's Eve. I was supposed to go but ended up changing plans last minute. I'm not completely familiar with Morro De São Paulo, but in that region places can be really hit or miss depending on the season.

Last time i was in Rio, a lot of people recomended me to go there, be tourists or locals. I have booked for my next Brasil trip.
