Want to use masculine-style. Any last thoughts?

So I basically don't like shopping. I'd rather read or workout, which means I've decided to use Masculine Style. I've got about USD1,000 which I would like to tie me over the next year style wise. I haven't bought new clothes in any serious amount for a loooooong time.
I just wanted to make a last check here before I did. Will of course post a review here when done.

I've been wanting to do the same - but have never had a good sizeable chunk to do so.
I've gotten his advice for getting my first custom suit and I love it. I'd really enjoy seeing how it works out for you. If you want to see pictures of the suit, PM me.

I haven't used his services, but others on here have and I never saw a negative review.
I think it's a good idea.
The only problem I see is if you end up ordering the clothes online, difficult to make sure they fit correctly. If you shop on Nordstrom.com I guess you could always exchange them for something else for free though.

Sure...If you want to dress like a rich 40 yr old.
The overall advice is good - fitting, layers, accessories.
Also buy clothes that suit your complexion, some colours will not come across well.

I used Masculine Style for the consult. I planned to use him more this year but my necessary (fortunately not annual) expenses have been insane and I haven't been able to make my wardrobe a priority. In my experience, he is incredibly easy to work with, very fast in providing responses, and someone I'd recommend pretty much without reservation. If you can send him 1) good photos of yourself, 2) good photos of what you like, 3) properly calculated measurements, and 4) reasonably well written explanations of what you're looking for, I think he can exceed your expectations.

OK, I just ordered.
My expenses this month skyrocketed (I'm still amazed how) so I decided to cut the bill down to 550, excl. the 25 for the basic consultation. That gives Tanner USD495 to work with.
My Grandfather wants to get me some stuff as well since he's seen what a dismal state my wardrobe is in, so whatever I get with him I should integrate with what Tanner does. He's rather conservative, but I'm thinking perhaps a 1-2 pairs of trousers and some shoes would really make the other 495 go further. I will be checking out the shoe thread.
One of the larger problems is that I'm about 25lbs of fat overweight so this stuff will need to look good on me now, but hopefully look better on me 9 months from now.

I've used Tanner's services twice. I would highly recommend him. I've been complimented on every single clothing item he has recommend: from girls on the street, the female sales associate at Nordstroms to the tailors at Brook's Brothers. The interesting thing is that many of the items he suggested for me were things that the sales staff didn't even know about until they looked it up or asked about it -- then they wanted a pair.
Just make sure you order the items ASAP. Things move quickly and I literally got caught with my pants down when some items were discontinued.

I'm doing an in-person consultation with Tanner in November. I'll post my experience and opinion afterwards.
"Okay (and I'm laughing now, because this is so funny), so we're A) not supposed to give you flowers, B) pay you compliments, or C) look at you. Anything else? Because I'm struggling to figure out the reason why after hearing that, I'm feeling like I'd rather get fucked in the ass by a Cape Buffalo than ever have to sit through dinner with you. Maybe you can figure it out for me. When you do, let me know. I'll be at Natasha's house."
