I'm curious to get the community's thoughts on the best body type for the globe trotting PUA. Clearly fit is preferable to fat. But what kind of "fit" is best?

I think we can all agree that a six-pack is always desirable. That leaves muscularity as the primary variable to examine. In the US, bodybuilder culture is strong and females are bombarded daily with images of jacked dudes. When I say "jacked," I imagine someone like Greg Plitt (below), not a massive monster.

But in many European countries and some parts of SA (like Argentina), a swimmer's build seems to wins out.

Costs must also be considered. With respect to physique, it seems like there's a basic threshold you have to exceed in order to reap 80-90% of the possible benefits your body can give you with women. If you were a perfectionist that wanted every possible advantage and you had the resources, the pursuit of an ideal physique could be justified. Some guys travel with their passive income sorted out, so that time spent in the gym during the day has a negligible opportunity cost. They couldn't really be doing something significantly more productive. Nonetheless, what to strive for isn't entirely clear.

This isn't true. First of all, there are always ways to make more money. The opportunity cost for is actually higher for rich guys because their time is worth more.

Secondly, be aware of the opportunity cost in terms of game. If you're a gym rat bodybuilder, probably the main reason you're doing it is for girls. While appearance is important, it's not crucial. Don't you think if you spent all that time approaching girls and improving your game instead that you would have more success at the end of the day?

Honestly, I think if you look like that guy in the pic, you won't have much of an advantage. If you want to go to a place like Argentina and really stand out, you ought to be blonde and look/dress like a surfer/snowboarder... and ideally be young.

And then when you go to places like Colombia (and I'm guessing Brazil as well) the girls seem to like a little more mass.

Either way, as gringoed brought up, and much of the "game material" out there states, it's not so much looks but attitude and approach that matter. While hitting the gym to stay in shape is good for your "inner game" if all you end up caring about is how you look, you're not really paying attention to the things girls really respond to.

I like to think i have the perfect body. at 6'1 183 pounds my body looks alot liket his guys [Image: 3967.jpg] (albeit less douchy and homo) My abs are not that great mostly because i dont workout all the time anymore.

that being said i get alot of girls attention because i wear clothes that fit my body well and accentuate my best qualities(my chest, arms, shoulders). However, the current state of my game is not the greatest. I just recently started to work on it and have seen some decent results and have noticed that chicks are really starting to flock me. For some reason i am hesitant to the trigger and ask any of them out though [Image: sad.gif]

so basically, a good analogy for me is that i have the tool box but not the tools. Im working on getting some though

I hate to quote AskMen.com, but I suspect, as it's a survey, he's on to something.

Women like everything that they dont have and therefore is masculine, suits, jeans, beard, muscles!

Me this summer.. 34 year old

Might bulk up a little over this winter and Im training clean and still push alot more kilos than the doped out 23 year olds..

Dont think bigger is better.. depends on environment and how you dress. Everybody got different ideals, and the biggest breast arent the sexyest ones or biggest ass.. its all context dependant..

I usually eat alot salmon and avocado for lunch with lime, and 6 eggs and tomatoes for evening, breakfeast is either oatmeal plus walnut + spoon of protein powded, or some protein rich yoghurt called Ylette, dont think you have it.

Eat Australian tenderloin two times a week with asparges potatoes made with oil and salt in the oven and then some of the ylette and dip [Image: biggrin.gif] yum yum atm .. things do vary but living single I eat pretty much like a robot.

and then 2-3 shakes with 40 gram protein and milk (the fatness depends on whether I want to get a little fatter or loose)

Supplement wise Im kinda fanatic and OCD like and do multivitamins and extra anti oxidants A, E, D CLA. Creatine and beta-alanine (monohydrate never buy the HCL one taste horrid), before sleep, GABA, arginine, fish oil, magnesium -zinc before sleep. Yeah and caffein pre-workout. Then on off Tribulus terrestis 14 day cyclus.

All of these is more or less validated through PUBMED.com studies.. as working..so no MUMBOOO JUMBOOO

Yeah and green tea extract for the 100x times super efficient antioxidant epicatechin, use it in my tea with lime, just as the tribulus..

Training, depends.. but Im more or less training like in the book "beyond brawn", a simple good abbrevated training program.. progressive training.. lots of rest.. havent always been like that.. send personal msg if interested in the book..

Basic exercises as for instance squat, deadlift, benchpress (I prefer with free weights) dips, shoulder press etc should be your fundament...

That is what works for me.. I know alot of guys would eat alot more carbs, but I like my fat protein diet alot, I use butter when making the salmon at home its great with lime squezed... and then avocado salt and more lime...

Yea almost forgot.. I dont really drink alcohol, I get regular sleep, sleeping well and not drinking alcohol, will be major factors besides being devoted and stable in your training. Only steroid users can in my experience have decent training progress, even though cutting corners, with sleep diet and drinking alot... you can tell most of them is using when you start pushing heavyer weights than 90% of them and they have more musclemass than you [Image: biggrin.gif]

Eventually anyone can outdo them (strength performance and overall fit lookwise), because willpower and dedication always wins over easy comes easy goes, as most gymn guys are, 90% dont know shit about training except do steroids and eat protein.. have lousy technique, dont work the legs and back, which are the crucial muscles.. not the freaking biceps.. which probably get enough attention from doing serious deadlifts..

Not talking about the hardcore elite which also uses steroids, but trancends their physiques to another level, those guys are another story and have my respect, even though our goals are different, they respect the discipline.. are serious, dont misbehave in the gymn and in general have winners mentalities which are inspirational in general.

Depends on the girl really..just as some guys like thick girls and large assses other guys like super thin or tall model girls.

I don't think bieng "muscular" ever hurts though. For instance take a chick that loves the rock star badboy, typically thin, drinker, maybe drugger type dude. Its a lifestyle I don't give a shit attitude they like and I think if the guy is thin but still has muscularity and atleast a little strength then it can only be a plus.

Same for the ex athelete kind of stocky guy, he might have gotten a little chubby but still maintains thick shoulders, arms, chest and represents power to a woman.

look at all of the sexiest men alive winners over the past 10 years, they are NEVER body builder type bodies... its always the super fit, mathew mcconaheeeeyyyy sure I dont know how to spell it... [Image: smile.gif] brad pit was only big in troy, always more slender. IME women like the athletic type bodies with a bit more muscle then your average swimmer body, insecure girls I have seen like more of the big muscled guys.

I would take good martial arts/ triathlete body over a body builder body, I am right at 6ft, for me 185-190 lbs of solid muscle I think is perfect, not too big, not too small.

and I have had a few girl friends who felt body builder type guys had too much muscle and did NOT find it attractive.

Body builders as far as dudes that just keep fit is ok. But dudes that are like 5'5 and 250 lbs with veins and puffy skin..basically as wide as they are tall, are just looking like they are compensating for something (height maybe) and no matter how big they are still can come accross as very insecure.

Its also a sure sign of a huge narcisist and a very selfish person..I mean who has time to work a regular job, spend 2-3 hours in the gym, take all his juice, prepare his food, sleep 8-10 hours a day and still go out and be social and get pussy. Its a full time job looking like those dudes.

It must also have something to do with how she instinctively perceives your genes?`

If you are massive muscle, maybe her subconcious perceives you as compensating, whereas if you're slim and shredded, it's more plausible you just look that way without effort, ie. "good genes".

In my humble opinion, this is a huge factor that separates guys from the body they want. I struggled for years to put on muscle and stay lean while partying and I've found it nearly impossible.

Low body fat and alcohol consumption are mutually exclusive - at least in my case.

I relegated myself to one night of drinking a week for 3 months (coupled with a solid workout & diet plan & my friend's guidance) and wound up like this: http://twitpic.com/2df9as

(No comparison shot obviously, but I have significantly less fat than normal, and more muscle too)(pic taken in Koh Tao, Thailand)

Kinda similar to the Anabolic diet:
- Low to no carbs (besides massive amounts of veggies) 6 days a week.
- 1 hr on the 7th day is overload yourself with carbs and that's it.

No protein powder or supplements of any kind. Just whole, natural foods.

Worked well for me. I've never felt better...ever.

i'm 6' 205 at 9% bf and the women in Medellin tell me two things:

1.) "OOOH grande gringo" and they want to touch my arms

2.) the other type that thinks maybe i'm "Huge" maybe even too big. I find this funny, because i'm not a big dude, not by American standards.

That said, I think if I cut to 190 or so that would be ideal size if i'm in Colombia. The men are thinner there...

I'm 6ft 4 and 245. I wonder how much eye contact I'd get in medellin, hopefully in a positive light.... But, yeah it really depends on the girl. Some find slim sexy, some find muscular sexy. I see women with guys who have beer bellies.

Girls with hot bodies get noticed by us men. Women probably look at men who have nice bodies as well. Of course, the whole package clothes, posture etc go together. By working out, you have much more energy, sleep better, feel better, look better which in turn will make you imho attractive to those around you.

I think the keyword is : firm. I just do daily pushups/situps, we can see my abs and my biceps are filling my tees sleeves just great. I'm 6"2 180lbs.

IMO the girl just needs to feel your muscles by touch, and its way harder to *look* muscular than actually be.

I won't go to the same beach as Quasi tho.
