Www://otherbandsstuff.com

Not soliciting...anyone who's into music and wants to see what gear bands use should check it out. My buddy runs sound at a music venue and takes pics of the bands gear.

He's trying to expand to take pics of bands/djs gear across the country.

Personally I love this, but you will probably find me in this venue watching any of these shows on any given night, as many of these are some of my favorite bands. Metz, Jon Spencer, Helio Sequence, Mike Watt, Meat Puppets, etc etc. The Torche review is pretty sick, they are literally the best new metal band out today. I played in bands like this and used to own a lot of equipment like this(namely Jazzmasters and vintage equip, pedals, etc) I always dig these gear reviews and articles on set ups. I think they should add video, where the musicians can talk about their set ups and instruments. As a musician I always watch them, but you kind of have to gear it to one instrument, for guitar lovers, bassists, drummers, etc to get a rabid following. You could also create a niche I haven't seen yet of profiling the equipment of just indie bands likes these, and monetize it like Pitchfork.

Where is this venue? It has one of the best schedules I have seen in a long time, and I live in NYC. Pac NW?

Great stuff, man. I'm a big fan of St. Vincent and I always wondered what she used on her pedal board. Was also surprised to see Japandroids, Dum Dum Girls and the Olivia Tremor Control there too.

This is a really neat site, thanks for posting the link [Image: biggrin.gif] I'm a massive gear head myself. It's quite amazing how much vintage stuff is still on tour, probably 20 years older than the people it's being played by.
