Starting today, Tuth or I will publicly state the reason for all bannings that were done on members with 200 or more posts. This will occur in a locked thread that only Tuth and I can post in (to prevent gossiping).

Since RVF is a community, I understand it may seem strange when one member suddenly disappears. It is giving the appearance that bans are done for moderator entertainment or delight. Since all bannings are done with utmost fairness, I see no reason why I can't tell you the reason.

The ban thread will be created at the next banning of a 200+ post member.

You should allow the banned member a one post rebuttal in his banning thread out of fairness. Sometimes there's more to the story. It'll probably turn into a ridiculous rant but it would be nice to hear what they have to say for themselves.

The forum is not a courtroom. This measure is being done not as a courtesy to banned members but for existing members to understand 1) why bans occur and, 2) behavior that leads to bans.

Care to share why Rivilenho was banned? I'm just curious, he seemed like a helpful, legit poster, and his banning came out of left field? No worries though, I can understand if you don't want to get into the specifics of why each and every guy gets banned.

I'm Greek! Also, I incorporate that into my game. I can cause so much shit in a bar or anyplace in 5 minutes Tuthmosis then play the 50/50 on which girls want me and which want to have me killed.

I haven't started any drama threads lately as Roosh doesn't like them even though the IRT got a girlfriend, dumped her because she wasn't white, retired from blogging then came back out of retirement to race troll some more. Not one thread started about any of it.

He was trying to provoke me on Twitter and a couple websites.

If a member doesn't like me, it's only a matter of time until they meltdown on the forum. I ban them before that happens.

It's rare, but guys have been banned for off-forum hating. In the past I've noticed that's a warning that they will cause problems here, since they are no longer interested in being in good standing with me. Essentially, if a friend of mine talks trash about me on the street, I won't let him into my house.

Wikipedia has something like this. When a user there is banned, not only must the banning moderator put in a reason for the ban when banning them (which is public), but also the banned member is allowed to continue posting to their personal talk page and can even request their account to be unbanned there.

Pretty much the only thing that will unban a user is for them to say "I'm sorry I did XXX, and I will do my utmost to never do it again." but I have never seen a user do that. They're always little drama queens in their un-ban requests saying some variant of "XXX rule is unfair", "I didn't do that", or "XXX did this so it's unfair I'm the one getting the ban".

If a banned user get downright hostile on their personal talk page, they are then hard-banned and not allowed to post even there.
