Wake up. Drink Water.

I've always drank water, I never even liked drinking too much soda and it doesn't hit the palate when I am thirsty. For the past maybe 15 years, I've been almost exclusively on water.

Recently, I picked up Gerber purified water in Winn Dixie for mixing infant formula. The shyt tastes delish and only costs a buck for a gallon.

How do you like that Winn Dixie? Is there enough big black ass in there for you?

I'll try that water

I always douse water as part of my morning ritual too. First thing after brushing my teeth.

I too thought everyone had water as soon as they woke up. Especially since most of us drink alcohol most nights! I only drink alcohol and water really. Very rarely do I have like fruit juice or whatever. In Britain we call it "squash" or "cordial", not sure you have it over there.

From brief google research, it seems you guys have powdered drinks or something? Or fresh fruit juice which we have too of course.

I can't imagine how bad the food is there those juices look disgusting, I saw them in the British section at the grocery store along with all the other disgusting things you guys eat.

How much is a glass of fresh orange juice there? Is it even available?

You do know you mix those things with water right? Like 1 part cordial, 9 parts water. Haha I don't think it can be any worse than American food. I would actually say American food is worse, it's a lot more processed and chemically treated etc. What other things disgusted your palate?

Regarding fresh orange juice, like in a restaurant/bar? Probably a pound or something. A big carton from the supermarket is about £1.50 I think.

How can American food be worse? You mean like Burger king?

I have like ten BBQ places a mile or two away..

Have you been to Norway? That's about the worst food I've ever had even the Italians were fucking pizzas up there as the locals like to put ketchup on them. How does your food compare? I've heard they're crazy for chili in scotland and it's good so I'm going there.

I mean all the processed junk. It's definitely a factor in the fat problem over there.

One thing I can say for sure, is that you guy don't have proper cheese also.

That said, neither country's food is going to look good against the Euro countries.

Not bad, although not really my cup of tea. Check my favourite restaurant's menu. Really nice food.

Back on topic...op is right. I think a lot of health problems are caused by insufficient water intake. Water filters the bad stuff out of the body. When I started to double my water intake, my skin cleared up after years of acne issues. Drink up fellas....

This might be better, just go to the Main Menu section: http://www.egorestaurants.co.uk/index.ph...&Itemid=54

Yeah, WORLD'S best Cheeses. I meant you don't produce any good cheeses. No American cheese gets sold in UK/European shops. Britain has Cheddar, Red Leicester, Wensleydale etc. Again, I'm not one for those fancy European cheeses, but a lot of people seem to think they're the best. I didn't actually know Americans bought those types to be honest.

"We just care more and we're cleaner" - What do you mean?

By the way, that Italian restaurant's menu (where IRTs were) looks great. I don't think I was debating whose restaurants were better, any decent restaurant in any country will have good food. Although I would say in America the portions would be too big. I think we were discussing what people eat at home.

That Egos place looks like it's Greek (gross) using some cloak of "Mediterranean" they try that shit here too I call them out.

Back to cheese, what I'm saying a cheeserie in France probably has rats and un showered people handling it in an unsanitary manner. In Vermont it's a surgical clean operation (I've seen)

Why should you guys import cheese from us when you can make it there and save the boat ride? We eat all our cheese ourself anyway none of it goes to waste.

"Back to cheese, what I'm saying a cheeserie in France probably has rats and un showered people handling it in an unsanitary manner." Hahah, that's trolling my friend at a high level!

Yeah I think Ego is Greek/Med.* However, I just stick to their amazing steaks and other non-Greeks food. Steak with peppercorn sauce is probably my favourite food, after a traditional English Roast Beef Sunday dinner. Home made spaghetti bolognese is up there too. Although I prefer Penne to Spaghetti.

Anyway, back to point - DRINK YOUR WATER!

*Edit - It does appear to be genuinely Mediterranean, from the website:

"Ego brings together the best of the varied flavours of the Mediterranean; from Moroccan Tajines to Greek Meze, Neapolitan Pizzas to Spanish Tapas, Steaks, Pasta, Risotto and amazing daily fresh fish specials to name but a few. "

I remember now, my Dad has had Chicken Tajine in there before.

Juice in the UK is expensive. In America, it's cheaper than water..you can bathe in that shyt..never seen soft drinks in such quantity for next to nothing..however the purity of the juice may release another question..

I never buy store bought "fresh" juices. If I want an orange juice, I'll get some oranges and juice them myself. The other day I bought a pineapple, some kiwi fruit and some oranges. I made a juice out of the orange, blended the pineapple and kiwi and mixed it altogether. It was really tasty but most importantly, not pasteurised and I knew exactly what was in it and that it was fresh.

Regarding water, I drink about 3 litres a day minimum. I always tell people close to me that they need to drink more water and they say they "drink loads of water", when really 3 glasses a day is a lot to them. Your body needs 2 litres minimum a day to function and it amazes me how people don't drink enough and that they aren't even clued up as to how much they should be drinking.

Your urine shouldn't be yellow when you go for a piss. When you're properly hydrated, it's clear and the stream is a lot more powerful. That's a good sign that you're doing things right.

I'm always thirsty. My problem is water just aggravates my thirst. Gatorade quenches it. I probably have a potassium imbalance haha.

This is why I start the day with 2 pints of water and a banana.

If you can afford it get a water cooler for your house. Springwater on tap.

It's funny when people say they drink a lot of water. They usually include soda, coffee and store bought juices into that mix.

Completely agree. At some point I was feeling very tired. I really didn't know the reason for that. I started drinking three big glasses of water in the morning and I felt a noticeable difference.

Now my new thing is to take a lemon, chop it in half and squeeze each half into two pint glasses of water. Drink one before my breakfast and one after breakfast. It's more tasty than plain water and I think lemon is a good thing to have in the morning.

Drink close to 2ltrs + water per day. Have found the effect on my body to be drastic. My skin looks fresher than it ever has. I find myself more alert and less likely to catch colds/flu. I also found it has had a positive impact on my weight training.

Huh, I've been doing this water thing for years. Glad to see we all do.

I have sinus issues, and as a result wake up feeling congested and unable to breathe well. I also constantly drink coffee or water during the day, or booze and water at night. Going 8 hours (sleeping) without drinking water always dehydrates me.

As per ritual, I wake up and drink three mugs full of hot water.

If I'm somewhere with good water heaters, like a hotel, I'll jack up the temperature on the sink and drink three glasses of that.

If I'm at home with shitty water, I'll microwave a mug for 2 minutes, chug the water, then repeat. I do stretches/foam rolling while I wait for it to heat up.

I read a while ago that drinking warm water is good because your body doesn't need energy to regulate it to body temperature, so it's easy to circulate through your system. That's why I started doing it - first thing in the morning, your body wants EASY warm water to drink, in order to jumpstart your body.
