Agreed. I've been to both, and tourism is much bigger in Thailand compared to the Philippines. Hell, it's hard to even find basic tourist items like a postcard or tourist t-shirt in most of Manila.

One way this helps, at least in Manila, is everyone assumes if you're white that you're there on business, not tourism. I imagine it different in a place like Boracay though.

The Phils has 7,104 islands. Most simps and backpackers won't have the fortitude to traverse to all those by ferry. Besides, Thailand has Buddha stuff and temples. That's what attracts a lot of the wierdo's where you're at.

Theres just as many young dipshits here as old dipshits. What was the ratio of white people to Thai people at RCA when you went there? Gets worse and worse.

You guys who have experience dating Filipinas: I have just started getting into this. Dated a filipina/american girl a while ago and have decided to try and find one from their country.

I can't yet figure out whether certain things are signs of scams or what. Have met a few really cute Filipina girls online. It didn't surprise me that it's difficult for some of them to do Skypes or FB Messenger chats -- their connections seem to come and go and even at best are pretty sketchy. Even for phone calls the connection's barely hanging on sometimes. A couple have asked for money or loads fairly soon and I just hung up. Most didn't.

There is one thing I wanted to ask. It mystifies me and seems somewhat common that these girls sometimes have multiple Facebook accounts (like 2-5). Why would that be? It seemed like that was a sure sign of a scam. They must be up to something. No American girl I know does that. But it does seem common. Any idea what might be going on?

The pretty ones like my Filipina will have a leg up in the world. They get good source of income, like dancing in the casino or secretarial positions to pay for their studies,. They will mostly be exposed to other hookers, but it doesn't mean she becomes one herself -- this is all down to their internal moral compass. They will usually be pursued by local older men with money with offers such as 100k ($2.5k) a night, or a condominium. The girl might get blinded by the cash and go this route but it leads to emptiness and a sense of loss of worth. They soon become accustomed to luxury so when their sponsors leave them, they search for another john to keep them in check.


The Foreigner Effect

White men are considered "rich". Expect that people will automatically assign you as rich if you are white. The thing about hooking up for white guys is that Filipinas, like my Filipina, gets a bad image when seen with a foreigner. This is true. Filipinos will be quick to judge a girl when she is seen with a white man. When some white guys tried making a move to my Filipina under the pretense of a job, she was quick to shoot them down and declined the taxi money (lol). As much as possible, they will end up trying to avoid the white guy especially when they are at their prettiest. The normal Filipinas also think white men are too direct in their dealings.

The Foreigner Effect (for minorities)

Those who otherwise avoid white foreign men, are open to other men, especially Asian men. These girls get the advantage of having a foreigner men but do not get the negative image of going out with a white man. The reality is that local Filipino men will trump all others in the eyes of a normal cut-and-dry traditional Filipina. I believe these girls are brought up to be not as materialistic as other girls, and will choose a local simple life without well-pocketed foreigners. Having said that, Asian men who date in this environment will come directly under local Filipino in their hierarchy or equal if they are staying. Black men or Latin, im not too sure about.

I had a pinay GF for 4 years so I can speak from some experience... get a girl who prides herself on having her own money and not wanting yours. The good ones wear that as a badge of honor. Get one with good education and a decent job.

P.S.: How old are you? Filipino dating is a classic alpha fucks and beta bucks scenario. I came here in my late 20s and was never asked for support and never heard any sob stories... not once. But I did hear from older guys that they get that quite a bit.
