Hey guys,
So due to a work opportunity he just couldn't turn down, my roomate is moving out of my apartment. I now have an unoccupied second room in my apartment I am looking to rent out. I figure I'd put the word out on this forum a few weeks before Craigslist, considering this forums is like my internet home, and I would first deal with a RVF member than a craigslist random.
The room will be freed up September 1st - so ideally I'd like to have someone move in then
So if any of you guys are looking to move to New York and need a temporary "home base" while you look for work or settle in, or maybe even just to visit, this room will be perfect for you
Here are the specifics:
Location: Upper East Side, NYC, in the East 80s. Close to the 4, 5, 6 stop on 86th St (which opens the city up completely) , Dorrians (a douchy bar good for macking), Walking distance to Central Park, the Met, and just about anything else good.
Cost: $900 dollars a month, but there is a catch (actually two). The first catch - my roomate, who already paid for his room way in advance, wants to use that room as his "home base" when he's in NYC - so in the extremely unlikely event that he comes back for a night or two, you'd have to sleep on the couch. To mitigate this situation, I will refund you for every night you have to sleep on the couch ($30 dollars a night to be exact). The second catch - I'd like the payment to be in cash, or in a check made out to cash. Because of these stipulations, I'm dropping the rent on the room to $900 - down from the $1100 that my roomate paid per month.
I do not give a shit what you do and who you do it to - but some basic "good behavior" ground rules will be in play.
Plus, you get to have a roomate who is not a hater and can wing you on occasion (although more than likely i will be buckling down on my side hustle)
I will also be renting out the apartment for shorter terms under the following rates:
2 weeks: $450
1 week: $250
Weekend: $150
I will give preference to those that are seeking to rent by the month.
PM me for more details or if you are interested.
Also - some of you guys have it set up that you can PM, but I can't reply back. Please make sure all of your PMs are on before replying.
