Bastille Day Events and Parties

Anyone attending Bastille Day events this weekend?

For those who don't know, Bastille Day is observed every year as France’s National Holiday to commemorate the beginning of the French Revolution (storming of the Bastille).

I went to a dope Bastille Day party in San Francisco in 2010 and have been hooked ever since.

I expect some major parties in other cities like NYC, New Orleans, Montreal, etc.

Use this thread to post events.

In DC there will be one from 9am - 1am in Adam's Morgan. I went last year and it was straight. Street food carts, beer, and chicks out during the day. Good day game scene actually.

I always feel uneasy about the French Revolution. Alot of innocent people (such as women and children) had their heads chopped off.

And the aftermath of revolution itself led to alot of terror as well. Indeed - it was a form of genocide - but aimed at the aristocracy as opposed to an ethnic minority.

But maybe it is because I am British. In Britain - we are famous for being one of the only countries who never sends an official representitive to official Bastille Day celebrations in France.
