I read Roosh's blog entry that basically said that men only put in the effort if they are inspired by a particular girl/chick/women.

I'm curious.

Hmm, I think the ones that are hard to get (even in a relationship). When I was dating this aussie girl she was feminine yet she had a sense of control as well. She did her part in playing the game such as playfully holding out on sex and stuff like that. But it was also clear she was very much into me and held my interest with the little things she did. Also she wasn't one of those that was thinking I got him now and just gave up on trying to impress me with how she looked and acted. She wasn't needy or clingy so sometimes I would wonder what she was doing when we weren't together.

Basically, a woman that knows how to play the game.

I know it's a technically a matter of personal preference, but I can't help feeling that a more mature experienced player (not that I am one) would not grace a woman with commitment because she held out. Paul Janka, serial dater with a system for getting multiple unique lays per week, said as much. It's easy to confuse however with a girl who gets into your head, one you obsess over. Janka discusses two such cases, and in each, it was a girl who initiated and pursued him, but then proceeded to hold out on sex - as he put it, it's easier to walk away from the honey if you never get a taste. If you do though, you become convinced you can get the whole thing.

Allow me to clarify that. It's not that she's holding out sex completely. When you do want to have sex she knows how to playfully lead you on, with a series of rejections, that eventually leads up to hot sex. Basically, being a cock tease.

So as a responce to Chick, assuming she was asking from a relationship standpoint, the intrigue and subsequent conquest is what does it. Even in a relationship I like to know that I still have game and enjoy the challenge. So my gf presents me with challenges for me to conquer and inflate my ego keeping the relationship interesting. If she's talking about cold approaches then just about anything will inspire a guy to approach. A chick doesn't need to put a lot of thought behind that to send the signals out.

But I think she's looking for tips on something more personal to her and these tips won't help much because of the wording of her question and how it doesn't relate to the situation I feel like she's asking about.

Okay, I just read the article she was refering to. I recall reading it a while back. Chick is asking about building attraction which is what Roosh is talking about except from reverse roles. Just like men try to build attraction with women when trying to pick them up it works the other way around too. Just like Roosh says: "There is “something about her” and I’m inspired to put forth everything I know about girls and game to get her into bed."

That equals attraction though I think he was too shy to come out and say it in his article.

Good summary. There were actually studies conducted to see what initial attraction factors men and women respond to. The overall concensus is that men are 90%+ visual and women were something like 50% visual and 50% other things. Just combining numbers from various studies done on the same subject.
