Thailand: 01.30
Philippines: 00.10

For the Philippines it's really low. Even compared to European countries (e.g. France is 0.40). For Vietnam it's also high, while Indonesia seems to be comparable to Europe.

Cfr. USA and Ukraine:

Ukraine: 01.60
United States: 00.60

Although these stats are about the general population... If you go shoring in Pattaya these stats will probably be skewed

Another possibility is that the stats in each country are gathered by different organisations with different agendas.

You can get just about any result from a survey or referendum, depending on how you ask the question.

I'm pretty sure the HIV rate is so low in Phil because it has the lowest tourism rate in SEA, and it used to be even lower. STD's don't generally come from just one place so the more isolated a place is, the lower the STD and HIV rates will be. I generally felt safe raw dogging in Phil.
