One of Bloomberg’s “Mayors Against illegal Guns” has been arrested and charged with official oppression, reckless endangerment, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, and furnishing a minor with alcohol after allegedly trying to coerce a young man to have sex with him at gunpoint. James Schiliro, Mayor of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania has been released on bail and reports indicate he will be “fighting the charges.”
Court documents indicate Mayor James Schiliro told a Marcus Hook police officer to pick up a 20-year-old “friend” of his – in an official police vehicle – and bring the young man to his home. Once there, James Schiliro served the minor alcohol and asked for sexual favors.
The young man evidently refused the advances of the mayor, and becoming distraught, James Schiliro retrieved three handguns from elsewhere in his home and fired one of them into the wall near the young man in an alleged attempt to intimidate the minor into relenting to his sexual advances.
According to Philadelphia’s Fox 29, Mayor James Schiliro, a member of the Michael Bloomberg-sponsored gun control organization “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” has had his firearms collection confiscated with regard to the alleged incident. The borough is demanding his resignation.
