Dealing with greying hair

I'm 27 and have a few sparse grey hairs, which can be noticeable with my dark hair. I have my hair cut once every two weeks like clockwork, with a 1 to a triple zero fade, so it's hardly an issue with as short as I keep it. Never had a chick point it out..

I'm mostly commenting to warn against hair dyes. I know some guys that do this and I think its incredibly noticeable and borderline embarrassing. Maybe they're just doing a poor job of it, but I can always tell when a dude throws some Just For Men on. Pause. Proceed with caution is all I'm saying.

I'm fine with going grey as long as I don't bald. I think that's much more difficult to overcome. If it ever starts to happen to me, I'm rockin' the Mr. Clean look.. horseshoe baldness is a death sentence, imo (limited offense intended to the guys with the horseshoe)

The hair dyes they market to men are all crappy. But when you use the high quality dies that women use, you can't tell the difference. I never use to die my hair until my ex Colombian wife who was 20 years younger than me started dyeing my hair. It's so easy to do, that I kept on doing it.

I am doing a Blackstrap Molasses Trial. I don't mean to hijack this thread, so feel free to post questions there.

I prefer a "natural" cure over these dyes. I can't vouch for anything just yet, but hoping for a breakthrough.

I know what you mean about how some packaged hair dyes loook, but I use Just for Men and it looks good on me. It smells, though.

Dealing with greying hair

I started getting grey hair when I was 17. By the time I was 20 I think about 10% of my hair was grey, so I started to dye it. I'm in my mid 30s now and my hair is probably 80% grey.

I cut my hair short every 6-10 weeks and use "just for men" to dye it. it probably looks a bit off right after I cut it, but then the grey naturally grows in over time, making it look like I am going grey, not totally grey. when I tell girls that I dye my hair they all seem surprised. I'll probably stop dying it in a few years.

Black sesame might also work if you're looking for natural remedies. My uncle has almost no greys and he's well into his 50's while most of my relatives start greying in their late 30's. He claims it's because of the sesame, although I suspect he has less stress in his life as well.

Asian if that matters.

Dealing with greying hair

I am in my early 30s, and probably 20% of my hair is grey. Started getting grey hair in mid 20s. People notice it and mention it to me not as a compliment, because I have grey spots as opposed to even, salt and pepper kind of look.

I am considering using Just for Men to dye my hair. Another option is to keep getting very short and frequent haircuts so that the grey spots become less noticeable.

Btw, I use Just for Men beard and mustache dye. Even though it says it's not supposed to be used on your head, it works just fine and it's unmessy and uncomplicated. I have close cut hair, like Obama but am really starting to get that salt and pepper look in the temples. So I just put this on once a week, wash it off in the shower and I'm done. Only takes 5 minutes. One tube last me a couple months because I don't need to apply to my whole head, just the temples. That's my solution for now.

Brodiaga - give Just For Men Touch of Grey a go. It doesn't eliminate all the grey, it blends it with the dyed hairs somehow. The longer you leave it on the less grey will show, but it won't go the solid, fake-looking black or brown that gives you away. It's very easy to use, but maybe it fades a little faster than a solid-colour dye.

I don't dye my hair at the moment, and I'm about 80% grey, but I do dye my eyebrows - I find that makes a big difference - really makes the eyes more intense.
