Interesting idea, but I can guarantee you these events offer little to no ROI in terms of bangs. These type of events cater to an older crowd, not fun and young girls looking for D. DTF twenty-somethings aren't going to a charity event to look for cock. It's more about schmoozing and them seeing what they can get out of you in terms of business or contacts. Everyone has their mask on.

I think it depends on the event, although you may be right about DC.

Doesn't DC have live "young" art events at the museums or something? Those can be fruitful for a higher quality of girl.

In Miami, they have a bunch of young art events at museums.

Cocktails and they even have DJ's. Sometimes they go till 11 or so and just bounce girls out.

But then again, it's Miami.

What about Jazz in The Garden on Fridays? I have not made it but I have heard good things. Last week was first one of the summer but the weather was pretty bad.

Yea that's the big event, but it's mostly a group activity. Get your social circle together and some bottles of wine and picnic under a tree for a few hours.

Unfortunately it's so damn humid in DC in the summers, it takes away from the fun of it.

As for Museum events, the Smithsonian used to have a young professionals membership called "Young Benefactors" and they did Happy hours. I went to a few and they were pretty decent. They shut it down though because of a budget crunch. I don't think too many members went from the $65 benefactors to the $150 Smithsonian associates after that though...

When did this Young Benefactors thing happen? What kind of crowds and how was the quality of chicks? Did they end it during the recent sequester crisis or before?

I joined in 2010 and they ended it in 2011... It had been going on for two decades... The quality of chicks was pretty decent since there was a membership fee and the special events also cost $50+ to go.

Sample HH pics here.

I like taller girls-around 5'7-5'8. Anything over 5'10 is pushing it though.

Ok looking at the pics that's definitely standard DC fare. The type of girls I would find at a free meetup.com event or something. That costs money? Are drinks included in the membership price? Otherwise, that's a ripoff.

I noticed that the HH was at Current, the Dupont bar. So it's not even at an actual museum.

The events moved around town. Some were at Museums, some were at normal bars or restaurants.

Gotcha. Like a once a month thing?

It was like twice a month, IIRC. They had two types of free events: HHs and new members dinners. Then they did galas and other themed parties that cost extra.

If those HH pics are representative of DC, then it's as bad as everyone on here led me to believe. I don't know how you guys manage down there. That's bad even by USA standards.

I opened her at the Social Safeway a few months back. It was funny because I mistook her for Go Kate Shoot -- who I had seen speak last summer about her photography.

Anyway, Kate Michael got rather offended that I mistook her for a younger version of herself (they really do look alike). I actually mocked her a bit while she tried to scoot away from me.

The funny thing is that my comments struck a nerve with her because by the time I had gotten home she had Tweeted about the encounter.

326 page views a day though!! LOL That's something to brag about!

Is that the Adams Morgan Safeway?

Georgetown one, on Wisconsin Ave.

I don't know if you meant to do this, but that was a serious neg. "Go Kate Shoot" is several points below Kate Michael, looks-wise. To us that's not a big deal, but to a beauty queen, whose whole world revolves around her looks, you may as well have said she looked like Joan Rivers.

Well played, sir, even if unintentionally. Reminds me of the time I told a crazed liberal woman she looked like Bristol Palin and she almost had a seizure. Hey, I meant it as a compliment!

A great way to troll Miss DC in person: "Hey, you're Kate, right?"

Rained out two Fridays in a row. Next Friday is the third jazz in the Garden of the season...if the sun is shining it should be a good scene. I'm looking forward to it.

On another note, I hit up HH at Reston Town Center this week. Very attractive and well dressed crowd - definitely the "for-profit / capitalist" scene for the DC area. I was impressed by the talent I saw at Jacksons around 7 PM. Headed over to American Tap Room, than rounded out the evening at Clydes. Seems to be a mix of HH people that work in the area and local residents. I was with some friends so it was easy for me to meet new people and get some contacts.

Reston is definitely the "for-profit" scene in the DC area but to a fault. That crowd is not conducive for pickup IMO. They are very careerist women who are looking to network and, if dating, settle down.

I was in Arlington last night to meetup with a chick I've messed with from ASW on a rare weekend we're both in DC. Saw the US vs. Jamaica game at A-Town Bar and Grill (Ballston), which was basically a nightclub. It's sad the Clarendon area is not a good for night pickup because there were packs of attractive girls and the dudes were complete cornballs. There was no pickup going on there which was weird. The girls weren't even throwing eye contact which isn't the case when I go out in DC. I wonder if they do the online thing instead.

K Street Kate is dating Michael Andrews--a mid-forties (I would guess) former lawyer who has become a custom suit-maker, with shops in Manhattan and DC. They recently traveled to Italy together. I have met her at Andrews' cocktail parties (I am a customer). She's quite attractive (very fit) in person and vivacious. I agree though with Hencredible above that charity events in DC are extemely low ROI. Crowd leans old, and any younger women you find there are going to be super high-maintenance. In short, there are more single hotties on any given night at Cafe Milano, Four Seasons bar, or Mari Vanna (to name my 3 current favorite spots for well-coiffed hotties) than you would find at a typical charity event in town.

BMan--it's worth checking out for sure. Don't miss the lounge on the third floor, which often seems to open at 10pm. First floor also has a nice bar area.
