If he wasn't a faggot, he would be as forgettable as Scotty. If Scotty wasn't dead, would he be a fat activist?

I'm a Star Trek fan (something to save for girls post-sex), so even though I'm no fan of gay rights I can't get upset with the dude.

Speaking of which, looking forward to seeing the new film this weekend.

Do you call black people "niggers"?

Actually I like George Takei, he's pretty damn funny. I'm not into all his gay activism, but doesn't mean I dislike him as an individual.

Yes, yes I do. Thank you for being a sanctimonious bastard. [Image: banana.gif] What do you call them? Homosexual Americans? Get off your high horse, a spades a spade.

He's a regular on The Howard Stern Show and therefore the recipient of some crude ass shenanigans which he roll with the punches, oh my.

He is extremely active on social media(at least facebook) and consistently funny, even if he is often just sharing something else that was funny, he knows funny. I don't really care about him being gay one way or the other.

Not sure I'd equate the two words to have the exact same power in terms of negativity, at least in the US context. So I think it's an incorrect comparison. The n-word is just about as bad as it gets in the US so much so that it's an instant throw-down if you say it around AfricanAmericans as a non African-American. And it's completely verboten in the US for non-blacks, in film and media pretty much too (unless of course you're a black person saying it, then you can say it all you want like in a rap video).

In any event, if we can't let 'guys be guys' at least to a certain extent and use some negative stereotyping/slurs on a men's only PUA website then I guess I'm wondering just where we can use it at all. Not condoning it mind you, but I think we all here get enough PC censorship 24-7 in our daily lives in the Western World don't u think??

By the way, I've heard lots and lots of gays using the negative term 'breeders' (and another slight I forgot, d@mn) towards us heterosexual men, so it's not like it doesn't go both ways.....

And BTW I find Takei kinda funny when I've seen him interviewed, but of course his general gayness is off-putting a bit to a heterosexual man (as it frankly should be, that doesn't mean I'm 'homophobic' or can't deal with him on a respectful basis if there ever was an interaction).

The point is humor and frame control. Specifically, he is framing the protesters and their cute little opinions as harmless. Which is basically true.

Well, I'm pretty sure in real life, for better or worse, calling someone a 'faggot' won't exactly get u in that much trouble (unless they are straight!!!). Maybe unless you're in the f*cking Castro discrict in SF and in danger of getting @ss raped by some seriously aggro gay dudes.

This is probably the most trollish post from you yet. Was it "uppity" non-whites talking about "taking over," or was it bigoted whites expressing paranoia about a person of color being in the White House? Own your bigotry. Responding to being called a bigot with additional bigotry isn't the way to go. Hurling slurs doesn't mean you're actually being more honest, or non-PC, it only makes you seem more ignorant.

Accusing people of bigotry is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500; George Takei would be forgotten if he wasn't gay; outside of Shatner and Nimoy, can you name the rest of the original Star Trek cast?

Who the hell is Mr. Sulu?
