In my Mini Retirement thread, some guys in here mentioned that they might be in Thailand at the same time. I'll be there between late September to early-mid December. A couple of others wrote they could be there during the same time (oldnemesis and gringoed). Anyone else is going to be in Thailand or in the vicinity around that time? Lets organize a meet up or something there say in a cool place like Phuket. Anyone up for it? If you can, just make it known here with when you'd be in LOS.

I am still waiting the paperwork from USCIS, and until I get it I am on hold because the interview date is not known yet.

I'll be in Thailand from September 11 thru October 15. Mostly Phuket and Bangkok. Totally down to meet up though.

Entropy4, any specific dates when you gonna be in Bangkok? I'm booking my trip, and probably will stay all 8 days in Bangkok as there is a lot of things to see and to do.

My bday is the end of sept, and I am trying to narrow down where I should go to brasil, BA argentina, or Thailand/Philippines. I love sexy asians in heels to Thailand is high on the list.

Gringoed, go to Thailand.

Food, women, infrastructure, and living situation is all better there. The only problem is language barrier but that's not even a big deal.

Also you won't get mugged in Thailand. Despite everything I love about the Philippines, I really don't think it can stack up against Thailand.

The only reason I am making a serious long term commitment to the country is because of the business network I've created there.

From what I read in the Lonely Planet Thailand guide, if you go to a Thai embassy you can apply for a 60 day visa, as opposed to the 30 day which everyone gets upon entry. Once you get your 60 day visa, you may be able to apply for it again, once in Bangkok, or if all else fails you can always go to Laos or Cambodia, and receive a 15 day visa upon re-entry to Thailand. Ofcourse, this won't do you much good if you plan on living there for 6 months, a la Roosh in Brasil styles.

I plan on being there for the full moon party on Dec. 21st, if anyone wants to link up around then. Also on my previous post I meant to say Thai consulate, not embassy, which should be found in many major U.S. cities (LA, Chicago, NYC, etc.). I never know how much to take from that site, but I'm sure there are lot's of hot girls from all over Europe, Australia, U.S., Japan, there to party and have a good time.

Yeah for sure, the full moon party is probably like 80% tourists at the least, but I'm sure it's a fun time. A person wouldn't go there for an authentic Thai experience, but I have no problem spending a week lounging on the beach by day, partying at night, and hopefully banging some Aussie, Swedish, and Japanese girls.

I'd be open to it if I weren't flying out of Bangkok on the 16th... $50 (each way) and 2 hour cab rides only to stay for 10-12 hours doesn't seem worth it.

You can go directly to the airport from Pattaya as the airport is closer to Pattaya than to Bangkok (and it is cheaper - 800 baht). There are also 200 baht aircon buses if you want it cheaper. Party is there

Ged and clr, are you guys still going to BKK at the end of Oct, early Nov?
Hey, how about we create our own Project Gateway in either BKK or some other dope place on the beach in Thailand? What do you guys think of that? I'm so in and so excited about this, I can't even find words to describe the potential of such a venture. We could first have guys from this forum who are looking for a sick place to enjoy life while building their businesses and then, why not, allow guys who are not from this forum? What do you guys think of that? Let's do it guys!!!!! It can be a ton of fun and good for biz.

I'm thinking along the EXACT SAME lines as you. Great minds think alike! Seeing that Project Getaway in action has inspired me with some thoughts, specifically:

1. Even though I won't be putting in more than 5 hours a week or so on my RE business, I think holding ourselves accountable to be "productive" is a good idea since I want to start some new ventures anyway. Living with like-minded guys and free of western bullshit distractions is the perfect environment for creating world-domination-caliber ventures.

2. We gotta be near the beach, and their villa setup with the 24/7 staff is fucking perfect. Places like Phuket are gonna rock for this.


It's starting to look like I might not be able to make it by early November as originally planned, since an unexpected opportunity to visit Africa has come up. By opportunity, I mean I might pretty much have to go. Starting to look more like December sometime.

Yeah me too after that Project Getaway, and I have way too much time on my hands, maybe you guys can help motivate me to find something else to do (and of course make more money, why not!??!?! )

The only down side is Phuket and all the pros, but I still agree it seems to have the best houses and prices, but fuck it, even if we import nice girls from BKK, on staff massuse too guys, I love massages.

As its looking for me right now, I am thinking about heading out to BKK oct 10th or so... maybe meeting up with Entropy who is out there, and doing some muy thai to get my ass in shape. So I will probably be the first one out there.

Glad that we're on the same wave length in here. This is looking even more interesting and fun. Can't wait till I get to LOS!!!
There are so many ways we can differentiate our project from the current Project Getaway one that my head is spinning with ideas right now.
Where about in Africa are you going?
