The reason American teachers suck is because they're paper tigers who can't put the smackdown like they used to. Even if a kid gets physical, they can't so much as restrain them without running serious legal risks.

A perfect example of how much respect their word gets is this situation. Bitch got put on leave just on the word of one slacker-ass kid with stoner hair. Most kids don't want to learn. All the teachers I had were glad to help if I wanted to come early for tutoring but I didn't give a fuck. Even the ones in alternative school would help me as much as they could if asked for it. I don't understand why people are supporting this Jeff Spicoli like wigger. Teaching must be one hell of a job and there's no way you're gonna be able to "touch every kid's heart" if they don't want you to. It's always people who have a long history of shitty parents in their family tree that expect the teachers to be a babysitter, teacher, psychiatrist, etc. Go to school, do your work, learn what you have to and get A's. Learn real shit outside of school from your parents and family.

She's expected to be all Dead Poets Society in there just because that's what will keep his distractable-ass engaged, yet she's paid shit, is overloaded with bullshit work, and has no power to enforce an orderly classroom because she'll get in trouble. I can't believe we've come to a point where a slacker, high-school dropout, who looks like one of the bullies on the Simpsons, can make unsupported complaints and disrespect the classroom on a cellphone video and be granted enough credibility to be put on the news.

The real problem is that the US education system is a joke. Teachers ARE babysitters because they have very little of value to teach. Their job is to give students mind numbing busy work and ensure that they pass tests with zero real world value.

I do agree with the kid though. Most of my teachers were complete dipshits who were just there for the paycheck.
