Jesus. What the fuck is wrong with the news? Just put the blame squarely where it is. If this was a man who did it, he would have been locked up by now for wasting the time of law enforcement. Yeah, let's just blame society for her problems. Let's use completely nonspecific language to avoid fingerpointing and refer to her as "someone". Surely she can't take responsibility for her own actions because society made her do it.
