No, because she completely mischaracterized what happened RIGHT IN FRONT of their mutual acquaintances. It's not like she exaggerated a little bit. What do you think allowing that kind of disrespect is going to result in down the line? Nip it in the bud immediately.

About the only thing I could conceive of working is something along the lines of the following two options:

1. Give her an opportunity to correct herself, "excuse me what did you say about me?" with an incredulous smile on your face and your eyebrows raised like "What the fuck did this bitch just try to say about me?"

2. Treat her like the petulant child she is. Laugh at her and tell her what's what: "Hahaha, you're cold because of your own damn fault, don't try to turn it around on me." The people with you will get the implication that she's being completely ridiculous and she'll be left with little recourse.

If you think it's harsh to check someone when they lie about you/disrespect you around other people that's all good and well, but I like not feeling like a doormat and people's reactions are vastly better when you maintain your frame and self-respect.

Why do girls do this? The only two reasons I can come up with are:

A. They're stupid and thus unaware they're even saying something repugnant.

B. They mistakenly believe that since they are attracted to men who are pre-selected by other women that we will somehow be more attracted knowing she's been pre-selected by other men. New flash, ladies...It doesn't work this way. When I go to a fancy restaurant and order a filet mignon, I'm only interested in enjoying the taste for myself. I will not be sharing my dinner with any other patrons nor am I interested in hearing details about what happened to the cow at the slaughterhouse before it got to me. Ignorance, in this regard, is bliss.

2.) Talk about previous relationships.

If the first point related to my feeling disgust at hearing about their physical past, this point is about the disgust I feel at hearing about their emotional past. In my opinion, there is one time and one time only where it is ever permissible to talk about previous relationships and that is in the beginning. You let her know where you stand and what your circumstances are and she'll likely do the same. There is absolutely no reason, in my opinion, for any guy from their past to be mentioned once you've started seeing each other and certainly once an agreement of exclusivity has been reached.

Additionally, no guy should never have to listen to any stories about what a girl and a former boyfriend did for their six "monthiversary" or how much she enjoyed staying at his family's summer home. Even hearing negative stuff is annoying. Ladies, don't say "I'm happier with you than any other guy I've been with" just say "You make me happy". That's good enough.

3.) Drinking/Smoking/Drugs/"Party Girl" Lifestyle

Never get involved with a girl who brags about how much she can drink. Your goal, in my opinion, should be finding a girl who rarely drinks, a lightweight. A girl who will drink enough to loosen up socially, but not enough you're left having to babysit. Never go for a girl who talks up how she can "bottle pull". As for smokers, their breath stinks and making out is miserable. This should go without saying but NEVER get involved with a girl who does hard drugs.

4.) Sense of Entitlement

I'm sure we can all agree on this one and requires no further elaboration.

5.) Not Being Sexually Adventurous

It's hard to believe that in 2016 there are girls who won't swallow, do anal, etc. Especially, since the market is saturated with girls who will. If a girl expects to keep her man from straying, she better be willing to provide all the same services as the competition or she really has no one to blame but herself if he does. If Company A offers certain goods/services but Company B offers even more goods/services for the same price or cheaper, it would be foolish to do your business with Company A. It's just economics. A modern girl should have something approaching a porn star's sexual repertoire or damn close.

If a girl has ever done something with another guy, she needs to be willing to do that same activity with you. Period. I don't care if she didn't like anal, there's no reason why the last guy should've had the pleasure of penetrating her anus and you don't. Even if you don't personally care for anal sex, you need to do it anyway. Ever heard of conformism? It actually is smart (most of the time) and advantageous from evolutionarily point of view to adapt your behaviour (most of the time) to your peers' behaviour. Those men usually lack masculine qualities. The men with the girlfriends who are only in them for either the constant pussy or to show that they are straight, are at a loss.

You will be able to pick those men out very easily. Those guys will always fawn over their girlfriends or have one or maybe two go to stories that will make them sound impressive. Those stories will be their justification that they are on the "right path" that trends with societal norms. That path typically leads to marriage and later mistakes and/or regrets.

Of course, I have had those moments in my life. I have never been perfect. Shit has happened that makes me feel like a real douche. I have mentioned my current gf once or twice on the forum. Does that make me whipped? No. Does it make me complacent? Possibly.

But, I am very self aware. That has been a very strong aspect of what has made me the man I currently am today.

My analytical lifestyle and approach makes me consider every possible option that I have available. Just depends on whether I pursue my gut, or emotion. Typically, my gut is the winner. Emotion also plays the part when I have been drinking where I don't give a crap about what takes place.

Just make sure you are aware of what you want. Don't be the drunk asshole that just goes with the flow. Consider your possibilities, and make a logical decision.
