At first I thought "no way in hell this can be legal, he should be able to sue for thousands...", but my admittedly modest research into the topic seems to conclude the probable cause ensures the police can harass you as much as they want and there's nothing you can do about it.

What probable cause did she have? Would it be probable cause to bring a black guy wearing baggy clothes in under suspicion of selling drugs? What about a muslim man who wears a turban who's brought in because the police officer thinks he looks like a terrorist?

Their rape rate is the highest in Europe and among the highest in the world so they're not really a low-crime country. Of course, most of these rapes are of the Julian Assange condom-broke-during-sex-and-I-realized-after-a-month kind...

Yes, the cops can harrass you. Worse, they can take you away, lock you in a room, strip search you and beat you up and claim you weren't cooperating. Then it's 4 cops testifying against you.

The answer is to just play nice and behave.

All this nonsense is probably we there are waves of Swedish girls that come to NYC on fuck tours with theirs friends. My friends has threesomes and more with these girls. I think they feel that there is less pressure in NYC

Great. Another thread where a bunch of guys who have never been there, or have maybe hung out in Stockholm for a week jump on a soap box and generalize a whole country.

Swedish guys = Herbs? Never met one. But likely exist somewhere.

A country without testosterone? Statements from guys who have never hit a Swedish gym.

But I get it. Its an easy target as their left leaning media and lack of hard crime makes it easy to produce news that haters love to wave around.

Sweden has to be the most intensely controversial country on this forum.

I guess no one else thought the article funny. A couple of eastern european juicers are flirting with the cops (happens a lot in Sweden, actually, and is no big deal) and she threatens to take him down to the station for a piss test. He goes (if it was a big deal he should have walked away. He could not have been stopped.) But he goes. So, he was bored, the female cop was bored, so why not.

Chances are high that they have been out at least once since the incident.

It's possible that this is the case instead of feminist laws being applied harshly, but where are the corresponding increases in England, France, Norway, Denmark, etc.?

That was my first thought too. If his last name was Svenson he wouldn't have been taken in.

Muscled guy talking to a police officer on duty. Good thing he wasn't on anything because that would definitely fuck him up even worse.

Eh,I don't know if approaching cops while on duty is a good idea. I mean, they are cops. My only idea of approaching a chick cop would be "So can you tell me where Reno 911 is located?"

Nope.

I'm pretty curious about what would have happened if he tested positive for roids.

This happened six years ago, so at least it did not start a trend.

Not exactly...

Just because you haven't heard about it.... The only reason we know about Tomislav Boduljak, is because he filled a official complaint.

In other words, you can't identify a trend if there is no data for you to study.

ALSO after what happened with Toney Freeman (December 2010), no self sane, respecting IFBB pro, would dare set foot in Sweden.

Translated News Report [SIC throughout]:
Quote:Quote:

The U.S. kroppsbyggarstjärnan Toney "X-Man" Freeman was arrested by police when he signed DVDs in a store in Sundsvall on Wednesday.
The snopna star was taken away in front of their fans.

One of the world's largest kroppsbyggarstjärnor currently doing a tour through Sweden. But in Sundsvall, he received a cold reception. While the "X-man" stood and gave good advice to his admirers stepped uniformed police officers into the store, write Sundsvall Newspaper on the Net.

- Is this a practical joke? asked the star while he was away, on suspicion of doping offenses.

"We have learned"
The police knew that Freeman was visiting and had planned the operation carefully.

So no more prominent cases bringing this back to the spotlight.

Sweden shows high rape numbers - considered true without critical look at the data.
Sweden shows no numbers indicating that "buff" people are being harassed - must be false due to anecdotal evidence and single reported cases.

Sounds legit.

Why Sweden has such high rate of reported rapes. Differences in record keeping and higher likelihood to report: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19592372

And while we're on it...
The Vikings left their mark on history by being adept settlers, sailors and merchants. Holding them as an example of aggression or male energy or somesuch only betrays a lack of historical insight.

That is Sweden, Anglo-Saxon legal traditions like "probable cause" simply do not apply. The police can just arrest you whenever they want for whatever reason. They don't even have to give you any reason and if they want to make up a bullshit reason they can. That is the way it works in most continental European countries. (Eg in Finland your only protection while arrested is that they have to file a report to a court within three days. They can arrest you whenever they want to without ever telling you why for those three days and you don't have a "right to remain silent" or a "right to an attorney"...)

I doubt all those American liberals would idolize Scandinavia and hate constitution-worship so much if they realized how exceptional the rights that they take for granted really are. You get arrested in Scandinavia and expect to have your rights read to you? Well those rights don't even exist. The police breaks your door and you ask if they have a search warrant? Well search warrants don't exist, the police can go wherever they want to. The police beat you up to reveal that marihuana stash and now you want that marihuana to be inadmissible in the court? Well should have stashed it in America, no such thing as "inadmissible evidence" in most countries' courts.

jaakkeli, you facts are completely off. Search warrants and rights don't exist? That's an outlandish claim. I can't speak for Suomi but what you say is definitely not true for the vast majority of Europe let alone Scandinavia. Just about all the Anglo-saxon (and more) countries abide by The 5th article of the European convention http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article_5_o...man_Rights

You sound very angry, don't let frustration with the system get to you to such a degree that you skit on factual correctness.
