Finalizing Vegas, advice needed...

How is this for the bachelor party I have to plan....

Friday night: Old school bar crawl on Fremont st (my friends like to drink ghetto beer), end's at Carnival Court, optional club

Sat: chill at the pool (palms), 5pm shoot guns, 10pm Club XS

Sunday: Rehab pool party, steak dinner, strippers....

Good plan for 3 days?

Sounds like the typical Midwestern bachelor party plan.

When you arrive, be sure to say, "Vegas, baby!"

Go to the Spearmint Rhino all three nights.

Joking aside, are you getting bottles at XS?

Do you have a promoter who is setting it all up?

That makes life a lot easier. Vegas isn't really a town that's very fun if you're on a budget. Access and connections are everything.

Rehab is for filthy tourists.

Wet Republic, Marquee, and Encore (XS) are all better pool parties.

Have you seen the guy's shirt?

At least at a pool party the dress code won't allow him the wear that.

He might actually meet women at a pool party since he'll have to take his shirt off.

Depends.

A lot of people book reservations directly with the clubs. Then they show up and can't find anyone to make things happen. So now you're wasting time, stressing out, and just killing the buzz.

My friend is one of the top (if not top) promoter in Vegas. Guys who book with him get set up. There's someone you can text or call. Often he'll meet larger parties at the door, make sure they are in and everything is cool.

To me, not waiting in line for the cattle calls and just going in to have a great time is worth it.

Partying to me means no stress and good vibes. That means not wondering if the door guy is going to fuck with me, not worrying about how long the line is, not rushing out the door to arrive super early to get in, not having drama if another guy happens to be in town and wants to join the party and then wondering if he'll get in, having a contact in case there's trouble inside and I need to avoid getting thrown out, etc.

Damn, I grew up in Vegas, but it's been so long since I've been there, I feel like I couldn't even give you sound info anymore. It's been 3 years now since I've been back, I'm due for a trip. I usually don't give much advice on Vegas anyways, as what I'd do in Vegas and what the typical tourist or bachelor party would want to do are a bit different. I always offer my out of town friends a local connection through another friend when they head out there, but they are so busy doing their own thing, they never take advantage of it, unless it's to meet up to grab a bag of grass or some devils dandruff.

You'd get 1 table and it'd have a $X minimum.

Table prices vary based on DJ playing that night and location. Outdoor tables are less expensive than the couches right by the DJ stage on a night when Avicci or someone big is playing.

Honestly, tables are good just as a central point to meet up and chill. Make your drink, walk through the club, and then go back to your table for refills. If you're inside in a high traffic area, you get hit up by bottle whores.

Bottle skanks are pros. They know how to flirt and leads guys on for free drinks.

It's best to have a more secluded table. Then you meet the girls inside. If the vibes are good, then you take her outside to your table. (If she won't go outside to a table, she'd be a waste of time, anyway.)

Keep in mind that whatever the table price is, there's taxes and mandatory tip. (Tip is like 20% and there's a hospitality tax and then sales tax.)

Prices vary so it all depends on what's going on that night. I can give you my boy's # and you can see what's going on if you want. Just PM me.

Friday night: Vegas Club Crawl. Spearmint Rhino at 4am if you haven't pulled.

Sat: Wet republic. XS

Sunday: Encore Beach. steak dinner, Vice Sundays at LAVO. Spearmint Rhino Strip Club at 4am if you haven't pulled.

Fixed that for you.

Few points:
1. Downtown Vegas will suck. Club Crawl sometimes has ok girls...depends...its been actually decent on my trips. You'll experience a lot of vegas fast instead of kicking it with trailer park trash in dive bars and retirees. http://www.facebook.com/NiteTours code FB20off for $20 off the $80 or so per person.

2. Don't go to Rehab unless you have a room inside the Hard Rock, the older "white" tower with the elevator right next to the pool. Logistics are probably the best you can ever have in Vegas.

3. I'd spend all the time I'm not in a pool or a club at the Cosmopolitan hotel.

you'd also do better in second tier clubs than in places like XS. Just the nature of the beast....but if you want to experience the "hype", XS is fine I guess.

Yeah, that's what I usually did (when I used to do Rehab). They did change the rules a few years ago...now there's a "minimum room charge" before you can get into Rehab...call them and make sure before doing that.

They actually "check" how many people are in your room..when you check in, you have to give them the names and then get your rehab wristbands separately....then each extra person in the room is $100.

Also, "check in" for the hotel is 3pm or 4pm and sometimes they won't have your rooms until that room and you're SOL. I've always just given the check in person $20 and they usually get me a room quick (11am or so) and they upgraded me to a pool view room...which is pretty awesome. Its all random based on who you get and how good you are at schmoozing them up.

back in the day it was dope because you could buy a $25 rehab plastic bottle with a mixed drink inside, then go up to your room and refill it then take it back to the pool all day...they stopped that now I think though.

The first time. However, you have to tip everyone...its a nice time...the first time...but after you figure out how everything works, you don't need them at all.

I'm still wondering why you're deciding to go so low profile, CaptainPower. I remember reading that you were in finance making decent skrill... There are definite arbitrage opportunities in Vegas - especially if you know locals - but for the most part, you kind of pay for what you get... top level chicks go to top level places. Not saying you need to go crazy with the champagne Nebuchadnezzars, but you are likely going to have to pay $2k minimum (not including tax, and 20% tip) for a table at the top clubs. Or get there at opening, pay the $50 entrance fee, get stamped and come back later in the night.

Especially since you're flying in from the East Coast, it might not be a bad idea to splurge a little on accommodations instead of paying the $39 for a room at the Hard Rock. If you're going to go to XS, logistics would be best if you spent at least one night at Encore or Wynn. It's like $300, for an entry-level room at one of the top 5 star hotels in town. You pay that much for a DoubleTree Inn in Midtown NYC.

Not trying to be critical, just a little confused.

Its because he doesn't want to have to chase down 7 other people for $2000 each who will eventually stiff him. Going big baller is great, as long as you're not the one putting your credit card down.

I think we had a table lined about a year ago for Afrojack at XS. We had some connects and it was about 2.5-3k for 6 dudes.

Meh, honestly I would stay at Palazzo or Venetian just because they treat guest a little better. Pools are dope. Going to Lavo or Tao is easier as hotel guests, plus built in logistics.

Cosmo as the "it hotel" is cool, but Marque (not Marquee Beach club) is a mediocre pool in Vegas.

Planet Hollywood gets a bad rep. I went to Chateau (the club there) on a weekend. It was crackinggggg. Lots of locals. Getting "earl of sandwich" later is a built-in food-bounce.

Too bad, you arent staying for longer. I personally think the weekdays are much better for Vegas than weekends. My "perfect vegas" trip is a saturday-tues/weds.

You have a point, but most of my finance buddies hang out with other finance guys, so they all tend to make enough to chip in their fair share. Then again, some people are shady about money no matter how much scratch they make.

After organizing a few bachelor parties, I've learned to pad numbers up front (20% over what I think it'll be), get cash before the trip, use my card and then refund any overages at the end. It's a pain in the ass, but preferable to having fistfights at Del Frisco's over how many martinis you drank... that last bit actually happened. On a somewhat related note: I have some mark-ass friends.

Anyway, because I drive in 5-8 times a year, it's old hat, but if I were flying in, I'd at least think about maximizing experience over monetary input.

the thing is I'm not really in the camp of "you have to drop a ton of money to have a good time or access to the best girls in Vegas". I mean money does make things easier, but it really is about matching the people of the trip with what they would click best with.

that being said, waiting in the cab line at XS is a total game killer.
