Lethargic after workouts

Typically I have a full glass before and sip during. When I say sip during, it usually comes out to a 12 ounce bottle by the time I'm done.

I usually just rub one out and take a quick nap.
If that doesn't work, drink a bucket of water, spend some time walking around during the day, and eat some fruit.

A preworkout supplement (dicey since they usually have caffeine) or meal might be in order.
I used to eat one or two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That seems to help a lot.

Since when have you been working out seriously?
The first three months of lifting heavy, I would come home at 7 pm and have dinner at 8 pm, and then I had to force myself to not fall asleep before 9 pm.
My body wasn't used to pumping iron yet and in that time I had surprisingly awesome gains. I would be very lethargic and just wanted to eat and sleep.
So, given that you indeed have proper diet and water intake, I think it's a good sign.

@dude3737- tingly feeling is likely from kava (from your shake).
Up your simple carbs post-workout. Add a bananna (ups to Kosko) after the gym. I had this irrational fear of carbs (thanks RVF), but adding carbs spikes insulin which shuttles nutrients into your muscles/liver (regenerate glycogen stores). This is also why you should take a sugary drink w/creatine- Helps increase absorption.
Like others have said, you need to drink tons of water. I try to drink at least a gallon of water a day.
Edit- my herbal medications article I threw up a while back, recommended cutting back on kava from time to time. Kava potentiates (syngergistic effect) many medications/drugs.
WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

You have to do blood test to see what you lack; whether it's testosterone, or some vitamins. Nobody in this forum can tell you exactly what it is, at most it's only a guess. So do the blood test.

doing 5x5 program 3x a week with added pullups, crunches, and hyperextensions each workout. Workouts are going great, solid gains and I'd say I recover well. Taking in lots of calories, most of it protein and healthy fats. Supplement with creatine and beta alanine. Arginine too when I feel like drinking 8oz of rotten horse jizz.
But after my workouts I get dead tired. Not just my muscles; tired as in I want to take an hour long nap, but usually I have to go to work right after gym. Anyone else experience this? I usually duck out to grab an espresso but I try to really limit my caffeine intake as I've struggled with caffeine addiction over the years. Plus I hate caffeine crash.
Could it be insufficient carbs post-workout? I'm hesitant to start loading up and lose leanness.
