About 7-8 years ago, the biggest English speaking site on Brasil by far was the brazzil.com and it's forum. Unfortunately, that site was destroyed slowly by trolls and I stopped reading it. But it had some incredible insight about Brasil and living in Brasil. If you can read and understand French fluently, then there's a wonderful French Expats community and their Brazil section is their largest. abc-latina.com
Another great community is the gringoes.com forums. They have a massive Brasil section.

Why this sudden interest in Brazil YMG? What are you upto man?
the best way to learn about Brasil is to learn the language and communicate with Brasilians first online and then, the next logical step would be to get on a plane and go to Brasil physically. You could read till you're blue in the face but to get the real insight into Brasil, is to go there. And once there, you will discover a fabulous culture, a very hospitable and friendly population (for the most part) and a unique, unmatched vibe anywhere else on this planet.
