Curves Ahead Toronto! -- I think this was Toronto's response to troll Roosh

A week after the Toronto Bomb was dropped the Weekly Alternative paper proudly parades Landwhales on its cover and tries to state that retailers should take advantage of the Cities quickly growing Obesity rates.

GridTO: The Bigger Picture

Quote:Quote:

[...]

....Like much of North America, Toronto’s population is getting larger. Almost half the adult population (more than 46 per cent) is overweight or obese, up from 40 per cent in 2001. Even in our skinniest area, Parkdale-Downtown and Waterfront, more than a third of us are overweight or obese. Our bodies are big across education level, age, and income.
Curvy women are eager for modern clothes that look terrific on them: The notion that they won’t spend the money because they plan to lose the weight is outdated. Plus-size fashion is a clear growth industry, but supply isn’t remotely keeping up with demand. And if Toronto wants to be smart—if Toronto wants to do something both lucrative and attention-grabbing—it will seize this opportunity before another city does.

[...]

The Article is loaded and full of fluff and it leaves out the glaring fact to why retailers aren't so happy to embrace Fat women Fashion.

Simple:

It costs more to make a dress for a fattie BUT the cavet is the savvy Female fattie is still blessed with a Vagina and a Hamster and will not be open to paying more for that same piece of clothing. To a Fattie, especially in Toronto her paying more for a dress would be pegged as some sort of discrimination and lawsuits would be filed. As we speak I am looking at suing my favourite Restaurant because they wanted to charge me more for a Half-Pound Burner versus the traditional 1/4 pounder. Damn me for having to pay more for a extra amount of something.

If a Male goes to a Big and Tall shop their is a premium placed on the items he buys. A Male knows full-well that him being really really tall, or really really fat comes at a price, and typical items like Suits and such will have to cost more. If he wants to wear a sloppy big T-shirt and some Sweatpants, Wal-Mart will hook him up for the same price as the regular folks but if he wants to be stylish their is a premium for it.

The Article obviously ignores Men whom are getting swelling up quickly also, and also does not talk about legitimately "curvy" and "Voluptuous" Women whom have never been able to work whiten the lines of traditional off the rack Fashion. Those types of Women have been around forever and have made it work via self-alterations, etc.

The comment section is rich with Whales proclaiming because they "run 5ks a week", or "Bike many kilometres per week" they are some what healthy and more healthy then me. I can run a marathon each day but if I eat to many calories I will get fat, these are the type of losers whom go to the Gym and then order a foot long Chicken Bacon Ranch Subway combo as a reward for all their hard work. The one voice of reason in their with the most up votes gets pegged as a "Concern Troll" for speaking the truth and logic that it makers no sense to promote unhealthy habits.

Examples:

Quote:Quote:

alecto

Hey Why,

I run 5ks several times per week on my treadmill and I’m consistently in the Size 12-14 range depending on the cut of the garment. It’s just the way my body is. Do you think I’m unhealthy? Bet I could outlast you on a jog around the block.

Yup!!

Next up:

Quote:Quote:

I hate this assumption that just because you are plus sized you are unhealthy. I wear a size 18/20 or depending on the brand a 1X or 2X and I commute to work daily on my bike for a total of 18kms. I did the Toronto Island triathlon last year and am doing it again this year. I had a free fitness assessment from one of the trainers at the Eaton Centre Good Life that was a joke – she kept taking my heart rate and was getting agitated and finally huffed that her machine “must be broken” and went to get another when I finally asked what was wrong she said there was no way my heart rate should be “so low” and gestured at my body. I caught on at that point and asked cheerfully if it might be low if someone cycled as much as me. Twit.

At work me and a fattie both got our heart rates tested and the machine made a sound of the of your pulse. Mine was full of energy and upbeat was measured at the levels of a 16 year old Man. Hers.. was slow.. sluggish and kinda off beat at times and the chart listed her (she is only 28) as having the heart of a 45 year old Woman.

^ That is what a Size 18 looks like for reference.

Lastly the Evolutionist:
Quote:Quote:

Sheryl
What makes you presume those plus-size gals aren’t healthy? By their size? That’s a bit misguided, health and weight have little correlation.
While it’s easy (and lazy) to write off a heavier population as some sort of “epidemic”, remember that the human race is constantly evolving, in both positive and negative ways. We’re taller, on average, than previous generations. Our teeth are better. But we also get more cancer. Maybe this is just the direction evolution is headed in.
Regardless, the plus community is grossly under served, and needs decent, stylish clothes whether we are fat or working towards society’s messed up ideal of what we’re “supposed” to be trying to look like.

Darwin told me otherwise but hey whatever!, what does that 'Fucktard' know.

How about joint health? Biking and running while weighing 250 pounds places a lot of pressure on them and causes joints to wear down. If they keep it up they will need knee and hip replacements before age 60. Of course, in Canada this is " free" aka paid for by the mostly male tax base.

I think this clip sums up the issue of feminism and what to do about it.

It even includes a white knight response.[Image: lol.gif]

What these fat bitch "exercise buffs" don't mention is that they eat carb-loaded garbage all day. Frequent cardio gets your RHR down, but you won't slim down unless you stop stuffing your face with cupcakes.

I've got the dick so I make the rules.

The city that just keeps on giving.....

This thread made me think, the first fashion retailer that starts charging according to size will probably gain a lot of backlash but also cool-status and money.

The quicker the impending food crisis happens the better. I'm serious! If Western people were forced to starve for a few months the world would be a nicer place to live.

Gay men do not like fat women unless they are singing on stage. Since they control most of the fashion industry, these ladies are preaching to the wrong choir.

Is a low resting heart rate really any good for fat loss? Seems as though you'd want to get that RHR up, stoke the furnace to burn the fat so to speak.

What do I know. Maybe their heart will be in tip-top condition while the rest of them falls apart. [Image: catlady.gif]

This was the perfect post for today. I just lost big on a stock a bought by a company called Vivus, which is manufacturing a groundbreaking anti-obesity drug.

I assumed this drug would go the way of Viagra, which was a stock that made a friend rich when its product exploded. I mean, everyone wants to have sex and be thin, right? Wrong. Few people want this drug, it turns out. People apparently don't want to be thin and/or don't feel the drug is worth it, which is beyond me. The pictures and the thrust of this article show why the anti-obesity drug market didn't pop.

Had I been reading this forum a little closer, I might have realized all this. Oh well.

Producing fashionable clothes for fat chicks will just make them even more delusional than they already are. they'll now mentally associate themselves with actual pretty girls who model clothes.

In an ideal world they should step back, truly see how being fat put's them at a massive disadvantage vs their normal weight peers in almost all aspects of their lives, and then immediately stop stuffing their face with masses of simple and complex carbs. But since that is not going to happen they should just buy a whole wardrobe full of mumu's, settle in front of the TV (tuned to the Oprah channel) and be done with it.

This!! A million times this!! I love how women bitch about unreasonable standards of beauty imposed on them by men. Do they not realize that the fashion industry is controlled by gay men and women?

Women hate other women, and gay men do not know what is physically appealing vis a vis women. Therefore we get the huge manjaw no hips/tits model look.

Clothes look bad on fat people.

Not calling anyone out, just sayin... Personally I don't understand why one would publicize articles that he doesn't find appealing or well-written. Seems like a better idea to simply find what you like and publicize it for being good, than to find something you dislike and publicize it for being bad.

True (but sad) fact:

Most of the clothes ordered from Victoria's Secret are in the larger sizes.

I broke my leg in December. Had one of those hip to foot casts on. I put on some weight. I ate the same without being able to burn as many calories. My fault.

I need some new threads, but I can't even think of getting clothes until I shed some more weight. Cast just came off a bit ago. I'd be embarrassed to go shopping -- and I'm not obese, but I am above my optimal weight now.

These fat savages have NO shame. Ugh.

Now this is the kind of left wing political action we need to happening ( less hamburgers consumed by fatties = dramatic reduction in deforestation) To bad those responsible for this would be put away for ten years in Toronto, no chance of parole.
