Just got headhunted for McKinsey - Advice needed

I have read bits and pieces of the thread, and wanted to chime in even though you decided, as I go through this back and forth regularly. I have worked for the largest and most successful internet companies. Offers like this are rare, but getting more common as the largest co's are hiring up. Google didnt drop their GPA requirement because of some philosophical bs. I think it all comes down to career path or lifestyle. Do you want to make partner/sr manager? Do you want to use this to leap frog into a higher position in a smaller firm? Do you want the paid 6 weeks, and slightly hire pay, travel and have a pretty stable 9-5? I can imagine their benefits are good if that matters. Having a top tier firm on your resume is always better than an mba in my opinion, but at the end of the day, what lifestyle do you want? I read your threads and I am pretty envious, its sounds like you have a pretty good lifestyle. I could go back to this, but I chose this year to start a business. I am in my late 30's and this is it, I have to take a chance. I have been down this road and would never disuade anyone from it, but middle management gets gutted with layoffs everyday, and its not what I want. Knowing what you want is really key here to making the right decision for you.
