Casual suits?

Somewhat clueless about this; I only just started wearing suits again in ANY context. What suit styles would look good for wearing in the daytime and when not at work? And how about at night? (dependent on location, obv)

I think a well tailored suit looks good no matter what time it is.
Now there are cotton, seersucker, oxford, linen, and chambray suits that are great for hot weather that will keep you cooler. These types of suits also look a bit more casual than a pure wool suit. I think they can also be a bit more dressed down as well.

This one is pretty good, lightweight and good cut. Where are you finding the pics

I like the look, but your suitcoat does wear out quicker. Not a big concern really, but I’d have to buy more suits first- I have only two!
Leather blazer, white shirt dress shoes and skinny black tie is a favourite combo of mine with jeans, though.

You can get that chambray suit at Land's End Canvas for like 350.

I might have to buy that.

It's all about having the appropriate weight for the appropriate season.

We have a very long and good thread about jeans and blazers / suit tops search for it.

A conservative suit will work everywhere. Make sure it fits.

Although probably you don't want to wear your suit to the beach.

Those more flashy colorful ones... I've never worn. Never seen anyone wear. You'd be peacocking simply by this fact.

I'll let people more experienced to weigh in about the orange suit but charcoal, gray, navy suits work all around.

Places where guys on rvf have suggested suits do worse:
lower middle class bars
dorms
Malls in a small town

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.

From top to bottom.

Trashness.com(you can find a good cotton suit at jcrew or banana republic), suitsupply.com, canvas lands end, and bonobos.

Suitsupply is a great place for quality suits. Floating canvas, functional button cuffs, higher armholes, and a great tailored fit off the rack.

Cotton is great for suits in hot climates. And feel better against your skin than wool. I have a couple. The only problem is they crease if you even just THINK of sitting down. I'd choose a cotton/synthetic mix if the synthetic added would make more crease-proof.

I have a tailored grey suit and now the trousers do not fit since I've lost weight. Its not sports coat but do you think I could pass of the coat with a pair of jeans?

I wanted to add, its a coat from a business suit so would it be ok with a pair of jeans?
