Hey gents,
I just got back from spending a month in Mexico, I spent time in 3 cities. Acapulco, Cancun, and did a few days in Merida.
Acapulco:
I've been traveling off and on to Acapulco for several years, and its always been a great party town. Up until this last trip, I felt Acapulco to be very safe, no problems whatsoever. It has always been known as a party spot for spring breakers, and the fresas up north. The city has changed a lot since this last trip, the energy there seemed different, to where even my local friends were paranoid to stay out late. There were Policia Fereral's on every other corner with Ak47's. There is a major drug war between Las Zetas, La Familia, and Juarez cartel to take control of Acapulco, the violence is pouring into the streets, not only in hoods of Aca, but also in the tourist regions. Aside from the drug war, the economy there is shot due to tourist industry taking a hit from all this violence. bad economy, people turn to crime. I saw a woman get robbed at gunpoint in daylight as she left an atm with her daughter. Pretty crazy stuff. But aside from all that, I did have great time there.
Nightlife - The three main disco's that I went to were to Palladium, Baby'O's, and El Alebrije, they were packed on Fridays and Saturday nights, I would say the ratio was 50/50. I found the local women from Acapulco not to be particularly attractive, mostly darker skinned, and most under 7's in quality. with that being said the city attracts quite a lot of fresas from the north on the weekends, especially Mexico City. As has been discussed in other threads these are the more beautiful girls in Mexico. I met a 2 cute girls( mostly 7's) while gaming at night, one from from Guanajato, and another from Mexico City. I also went to a pretty cool stip club called Tabares, it was fun, bunch of strippers on roller skates, waving flourescent lights.
Daygame - I didnt do a whole lot of daygaming, but I've found the shopping mall - Galleria Diana on Av Costera to be the hot spot for running day game, the women here seemed to be from upper-class, and of course a bit on the bitchy side from the approaches that I did.
My overall opinion of Acapulco is its a great spot for partying, but lacked in quality. I was there for a total of two weeks, and banged 3 girls. In my honest assessment, considering the fact that the city is dangerous, and the women are just average, I would rather go back to Mexico City, and goto the source of where the quality babes are. I found that Mexico City is more safer, especially in the upper-class neighborhoods.
Cancun:
I spent a week in Cancun, I spent the majority of my time outside the hotel zone of Cancun, because I was staying with some friends. I got to see where the locals go, and I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the women who live here. The city is crawling with high-class mexicanas. Many who are not originally from Cancun, but from other parts of the country. I saw many 7, and 8's driving around in brand new SUV's and european sedans. So there is a lot of money in Cancun. With that being said, gaming these higher-class bitches was more challenging. I went out to a few restaurant/lounge types places in the city, and being a tall white dude from US didnt hold much exotic factor of course, but did get a few k-closes. I think with more time there, and better logistics, I could've done better. In a lot of ways the upper class neighborhoods reminded me of Miami. The only daygame I did was Saturday afternoons in a mall called Plaza de Americas in Cancun city.
Merida:
Merida is your typical small colonial city in Mexico about 3 hours from Cancun, with a zocalo square and a big church in the center of the city, with surrounding neighborhoods. Merida is considered the safest city in Mexico. I only had a few days here, so didnt do any hardcore gaming. I went out one night solo to a bar called Bierhaus, and met a local chic that I wound up banging, at the time i met her she easily looked to be a 7, but the next morning she dropped a notch or two, beer goggles will do that. Also there were some attractive girls walking the streets in groups at night around the square. Overall a very attractive, quaint city, but I think I needed more time there to give a thorough assesment.
