Anybody have a really big closet? I have one that is huge and has the potential to be epic. Girls who come over always comment on it just because of the layout - you can stare right into it from my bed, but it looks ratty compared to the rest of my decor in the bedroom, main room, etc. I was watching the old version of "Great Gatsby" with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow (Gatsby's closet is nicer than 99% of the homes in America) and it got me inspired to absolutely pimp out my closet to better match the rest of my place.
I'm thinking this will be a month long project and I'm going to post pics of before and after. I'm going to put really masculine colors like dark brown, tan, and gold. I have already purchased this pendant lamp (which looks rather feminine alone but think it will be killer in the finished room). I'm not going to spend a dime on anything other than this lamp (already on the way) and the paint and getting matching hangers - all wood for pants and dress shirts and all nice metal for polos, upgrade the cabinet pulls (you can see they're shitty white plastic ones right now) etc. I love "projects" like this - I redid my bathroom over a 2-month period and it gives me a really nice value-added topic to talk about on dates (I have this gash in my finger/flecks of paint on my elbow, etc. from redoing my bathroom...)
